Harris & Hilton helped us with two of our three property transactions in the last couple of months. Both H&H transactions went off without a hitch - except when the Chatham County recording system went down with a Cyber attack. David Hilton took the initiative to drive to Pittsboro to manually record our transaction - an outstanding case of "above and beyond" . Strongly recommend this team.

Awful! Imagine 'Paris Hilton" performing legal closing procedures. That is what you get with Harris Hilton. I used them for the first time 4 years ago and it was just as bad. I actually got them confused with another better law firm I used and by the time I noticed it was too late. This time I refinanced 3 investment properties and it was a nightmare just like 4 years ago. The only good thing was that the transactions were completed but it took 6 weeks and 5 attempts at closing. Because I had 3 transactions, they would not offer any discounts for the same person that owned all 3 houses and I was just refinancing. As far as communication with them, it was like communicating with a black hole. Whenever I would ask a question by email I would never receive a response, unless I wrote in the email "please respond to questions". The gate keeper Hannah was always giving myself and my lender the wrong information about what the law firm had done and it turned out they did not-(cause for delays). Julie Oday would only communicate if she was having a good day or she would delegate a response to the gate keeper. And good luck with getting that response or correct information. How come in this day in age when you can't do anything without a survey after services Harris Hilton doesn't give you one? There is a reason. Here is a better suggestion: MCCULLERS WHITAKER HAMER PLLC. Here's the odd thing. Harris Hilton has a better rating then MWH and I had a better experience with MWH.

Very easy to close on Home 🏡

Our realtor chose this firm to be the closing attorney on our home purchase. There wasn’t attention to detail. They made a pretty big error when they reviewed our contract with respect to the home warranty terms. It ended up in a months-long mess and us out $700 up front for their mistake. We didn’t know until we showed up that we had to do the closing in the car. Glad they took safety measures, but it wasn’t communicated prior. - Poor customer service. They first tried to blame us, then said ‘it was just the way things were.’

I have known David Hilton for almost 8 years and he has never let me down on a closing. He and Julie are always available when I or my clients need them and they get back to us immediately. These attorneys handled the closing of our home during the covid pandemic. They were prompt and professional even with the craziness going on. Mr. Hilton even came out to our car to go over the paperwork with us and he was super friendly! Highly recommend!
