I would like to take this time to recommend Shawn Howard at Maginnis Law in Raleigh NC. Mr.Howard did an amazing job representing me after I had been in a car accident while in VA. He was extremely thorough in gathering any information needed for the case and was helpful throughout the entire processes with giving advice. Magginis Law Firm represented us in an eviction case. My wife and I live out of state and relied on their services to help us regain possession of our property. The initial trial was difficult due to tenant's rights and our case for possession was rejected. Ed Maginnis stuck with us and was able to win an appeal of the case for not only possession but also significant damages. Being a complicated situation, Ed Maginnis was very organized and strategically planned when to present information to the magistrate and judge at each hearing, respectively. His timing and delivery of facts strengthened our case. Ed Maginnis was quite collected with his thoughts, clever with his arguments and extremely well spoken. His confidence, experience, and knowledge of tenant-landlord laws were reflected in his representation. Ed Maginnis reviewed all of the information we provided him with: emails, multiple iterations of leasing agreements, photographs, etc. He isolated just the pertinent information to establish a case. He advised having our leasing agent present at the trial to state statistics, which gave credibility to our claims. Ed Maginnis was responsive to our requests for communication in preparing for both trials. Neither my wife nor I had ever acted as a plaintiff and knew little about the North Carolina small claims court system. Ed Maginnis helped in educating us to the trail and appeal processes.
