Ashley Cannon & her assistant Merissa is one of the best attorneys you’ll ever come across!! She’s been nothing but good to me. Every since the first case I’ve retained her to take care of for me it was well worth every dime I’ve spent. Ranging from serious to a few that wasn’t as serious EVERYTHING she said would happen... HAPPENED!!! Never known an attorney to call and talk to you rather than you leave messages or make you set an appointment just to pay an appointment fee Ashley’s have always been there anytime I’ve needed her to be. I was initially very skeptical that my friend had hired an out of town attorney to handle the looming DWI charge that they faced. However, after seeing Ashley Cannon in action, both during the jury selection and in defending them through the trial, I will attest that she is worth every penny paid to her and then some! Her knowledge of the case details and the very lengthy dash camera footage from the patrol car were evident in how freely she spoke in cross examining the officers that were on site. She thought of questions that would never have occurred to me to ask, but effectively introduced the necessary "reasonable doubt" without disrespecting or abusing the witnesses. She took a case that we had assumed would be a total loss and turned it into a Not Guilty verdict. Her great care in educating the jury about their duty to uphold every element of the burden of proof upon the district attorney to establish the guilt of the defendant, who was, as she reminded them, "innocent until proven guilty", not vice versa, resulted in a victory after a relatively short jury deliberation. One would expect that such a "Not Guilty" verdict would draw disapproval from the other side. On the contrary, it was evident that all members of the opposition held her in high regard and one of the DAs went so far as to say she is one of the "best defense attorneys in the state of North Carolina". Such an accolade would rightly be accompanied by tremendous amounts of arrogance, but not with Ms. Cannon. I was most impressed that she took the time to converse with us during the breaks, going so far as to obtain our "fresh insight" into the evidence that had been presented because she had watched it so many times before and wanted to know if we had new viewpoints to offer her. I greatly appreciated the care that she demonstrated in explaining her rationale behind deciding which charges to plead to and which to push toward trial. She made no promises of outcomes, and even prepared us for the possibility of the worst case scenario, but in the end, what we received was better than what we had dared to hope for. May you never need a defense attorney, but if you do, I do not have enough thumbs up to convey just how impressed I am with this one.

I have cried a pound of happy tears as this wonderful Attorney and her kind compassionate staff came to my rescue and fought for me! Attorney Ashley returned every email almost immediately and her Admin Assistant’s were so kind to me in my darkest time. The event began 5 hours from my home and ended in another State ( North Carolina) so you can imagine the paperwork she had to plow thru. I was 100% innocent but this happened several years ago and I was so afraid the Judge would think I had been on a hide out! And this afternoon I was found 100% not-guilty! I have prayed and cried and have had many sleepless nights however God used Attorney Ashley Cannon’s expertise to prove that I was! If you ever need an Attorney for anything I would go out on a limb to say you would be in error by not using her! She is just fabulous!
