It’s difficult to begin to say how amazing Granger Benson and Cape Fear Family Law has been for me in the past 2 years. Granger has been a source of knowledge walking me through a very difficult part of my life. He has helped not just as an attorney but walked me through how to handle my life during divorce. Granger was able to organize all my finances ensuring that I receive my share of what was due me. He and others at Care Fear Family Law worked hard to show how the finances were acquired and why they should be divided with my best interests. I paid Attorney Marcus Tingling 5k for my divorce and child custody. Marcus Tingling did not show up to the divorce hearing and continued child custody hearing without my knowledge or consent. Also, He used up my retainer and withdrew from the case. Jessica Arthur who is the supervising attorney told me that notice of hearing does not come from the court but the other party which is false. All notice of hearing comes from the court. They are unprofessional and cause unnecessary confusion within the process of getting a divorce. I paid for travel expense for Marcus Tingling and the hearings were held via Webex being that my case was in another county.

Awesome experience with Kayleigh Davenport at Cape Fear Family Law. She was so kind and considerate and always kept me informed. I was very emotional because I was involved in a custody battle. Kayleigh reassured me constantly and was very encouraging. She was so professional, in and our of the courtroom. I'm so thankful God lead me to her. I felt a kindred spirit with her from the beginning. Her faith was very evident . Not only am I super pleased with her as an attorney, but feel I've gained a very special, life long friend. Review for Waneta Ellis (Lawyer) I had an extremely disappointing experience with Waneta Ellis. During my consultation, I found her to be not only rude but also completely lacking in empathy for my situation. I went in looking for guidance and support during a challenging and emotional time, but instead, I left feeling more discouraged and dismissed. Rather than offering me clear advice or solutions, she seemed uninterested in exploring any options beyond the bare minimum of pursuing child support. Her responses were blunt, and she didn’t seem to acknowledge the emotional and financial burdens I was facing. For example, she made it clear that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum expenses were entirely my responsibility, with no discussion of possible alternatives or avenues for support. Additionally, her approach to other issues in my case, like the hostility from my child’s father’s family, was overly simplistic and dismissive. Overall, if you’re looking for a lawyer who will listen, show compassion, and help you navigate the complexities of family law with care, I cannot recommend her. My experience left me feeling unsupported and frustrated.

I cannot say enough good things about Waneta and her team. I knew Waneta was the right choice after our phone consultation. She was very knowledgeable, kind, understanding and gained my trust right away. She was the first attorney that made me feel confident and hopeful in a time of stress and doubt. Her and her team were so helpful in answering all my concerns and questions along the way as they guided me through a difficult time. I cannot thank them enough for all of their hard work and time.
