Awesome experience with Kayleigh Davenport at Cape Fear Family Law. She was so kind and considerate and always kept me informed. I was very emotional because I was involved in a custody battle. Kayleigh reassured me constantly and was very encouraging. She was so professional, in and our of the courtroom. I'm so thankful God lead me to her. I felt a kindred spirit with her from the beginning. Her faith was very evident . Not only am I super pleased with her as an attorney, but feel I've gained a very special, life long friend. Review for Waneta Ellis (Lawyer) I had an extremely disappointing experience with Waneta Ellis. During my consultation, I found her to be not only rude but also completely lacking in empathy for my situation. I went in looking for guidance and support during a challenging and emotional time, but instead, I left feeling more discouraged and dismissed. Rather than offering me clear advice or solutions, she seemed uninterested in exploring any options beyond the bare minimum of pursuing child support. Her responses were blunt, and she didn’t seem to acknowledge the emotional and financial burdens I was facing. For example, she made it clear that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum expenses were entirely my responsibility, with no discussion of possible alternatives or avenues for support. Additionally, her approach to other issues in my case, like the hostility from my child’s father’s family, was overly simplistic and dismissive. Overall, if you’re looking for a lawyer who will listen, show compassion, and help you navigate the complexities of family law with care, I cannot recommend her. My experience left me feeling unsupported and frustrated.

I cannot say enough good things about Waneta and her team. I knew Waneta was the right choice after our phone consultation. She was very knowledgeable, kind, understanding and gained my trust right away. She was the first attorney that made me feel confident and hopeful in a time of stress and doubt. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I paid them a 200 dollar consulation fee to speak with Matt Geiger. He did call once to just say he’ll call back after the checks with the courts to see my status on filing with them. It’s been 2 weeks now and he hasn’t returned my return phone call at all. That was a waisted 200 dollars on a garbage law firm that can’t even follow up with the most basic of tasks. Please save your money and go elsewhere. Straight garbage. And this is coming from someone of a very high profile from the military that can’t stand laziness….i had much higher expectations from the reviews of this law firm just to be let down….i expected more out of you than stealing my money….its not my job to pay you and chase you around to do your job.i just had a VERY serious life threatening work incident with a traumatic brain injury, the last thing i want on my list on top of my x wife stealing EVERYTHING from me the year i was in the hospital, including an ENTIRE company worth of cash bought equipment, and every military memorabilia that I owned, is to chase around some attorney get my money back or for him to actually do his job, pathetic to absolutely down right disgusting! I WILL that I I communicated with Malik the entire time and his professionalism on point. Thank you for being understanding sir.
