I worked with VetLaw on my appeal to my initial claim. I really learned a great deal as I went through the process concerning the claim filing, appeals and the entire process. I was denied in areas after VetLaw filed the appeal as well as the filed filed new claims based on current medical issues for increases and these were based on increases to many of my chronic issues that were service connected. Vetlaw realistically had a grasp on how my claims should be filed, whereas I personally was emotional in my response they were level headed, and understood how to file for my higher-level review and my claim was successful. It takes a team, and educated persons who realistically understand 38CFR, and can realistically, and objectively look at your medical conditions and understand the best route to take. VetLaw did this and my medical records as well as my exams corroborated my medical story. I am ever grateful for VetLaw and I recommend veterans use them to handle your appeals. I was trying to work with the DAV because they were there to help. I knew from talking with others that this was going to be an uphill battle. After a couple of denials and having to try to appeal i was informed in order to get what should be coming to me I would need to hire the representation. I was given the name of a fellow vet that had recently had a decision and payment had been reciece already. So I contacted Vet law and felt very comfortably that vet law would represent my case and get me the settlement that I felt like I would not get had I have stayed with help of the DAV.
