In my divorce and post decree years, I have unfortunately had to hire legal counsel many times. Between those I have hired and those my ex-husband has hired, I feel like I have met almost every legal team in Cincinnati, but I have never worked with a more professional group than Ed Vardiman and his team at Godbey Law. From the beginning, Ed was available, punctual, committed, knowledgeable, and just plain good at his job. He is assertive, thinks strategically, and I always could count on him to advise me. For me this was not about "winning," but about getting the best outcome for my daughters, and Ed always kept me aligned with this goal. I know he must have many clients, but he has a great legal assistant to support him, and somehow he was always able to get back to me right away whenever I needed anything. The custody & relocation dispute with my ex was extremely stressful, but Ed walked me through a guardian ad litem process, which was completely new to me. He fought for the right thing for my daughters every step of the way. There are a lot of lawyers with egos and their own personal issues, who are overly aggressive, or who are not really committed and are multi-tasking while talking to you. This is not Ed. He is attentive, insightful, and humorous - just a genuinely good person. I would recommend him highly to anyone, but especially anyone in need of domestic relations counsel.

After being with another law firm, I chose to find someone more in tune with my case. After an extensive review, I selected Godbey Law to be MY Team. Ed Vardiman and Amanda Hood were great! I worked closely with Danielle to prep for trial and after extensive negotiations, we had it settled but for two major items. Ed and Danielle prepared me for testimony and we were able to get the decision in our favor. I was able to protect my son. I highly recommend Godbey Law and Ed Vardiman!
