We worked primarily with Matt Nakajima and Daphne Mahre (also occasionally with Charley M. Rittgers and Gus Lazares). All of them are at the top of their craft---they were caring and concerned, helpful, thoughtful, efficient, timely, and expert in their work for us. This was our first experience being represented legally in a case of damage claims stemming from an automobile crash in which we were not at fault. They took care of everything, leading us through the processes skillfully and successfully. We chose to work with the firm of RR&N on the basis of a recommendation from a lawyer friend whom we trust. We cannot imagine better legal representation than what they provided us.

My husband and I were in a serious car accident in 2021. We were referred to RR&G by a friend who's also a prominent attorney. We chose them because of all the firms we interviewed, they were the most attentive and least aggressive in tone. But once we started working with them, Matt Nakajima and his paralegal Daphne Mahle were tireless advocates, Daphne in particular, spending hours on phone calls with billing departments and insurance reps. Matt kept us informed throughout the process and coached us thoroughly for depositions and ultimately for the settlement hearing. We were able to settle for an acceptable amount, much higher than the insurance company offered. Although RR&N were prepared to go to trial, Matt was candid about the risks involved. First off, JR Bernans is the greatest!! We all make mistakes.... It is a fact which is inevitable. When I make them, I take what I can get. However this time I was in a position where I was in fact not guilty of what I was being charged with. Past decisions on my part has made it difficult at times .... Based on my past I was facing a case where the outcome looked bad. Odds were not in my favor at all based off of my past. JR always remained in contact, was honest with where we logically stood and even though I wanted to walk right into the fire and jump on that sword if I had to, he did not waiver, just like me. Not only did he walk that grim looking path with me but he put everything he had into it. I mean everything, until they were able to see what I had become and not what I once was. How even though the evidence did not look in my favor I was in fact telling the truth. He did what in Warren County I viewed as impossible.
