I was being represented in court by Donna Mayor she had done nothing for me in court. She was rude and not willing to listen to a word on my case. She didn't even look at my paperwork or evidence in my favor. It wasn't that I didn't want to pay I just didn't agree with all the fees and being charged 3x my rent amount. I had recieved rental assistance for which my landlord only applied 2 months. He applied the rest to unreasonable charges which was thousands of dollars. I even wanted to represent myself but she discouraged me with her actions and bullying. A man named Chris who works there was trying to find information in regards to my funds from the city and what they were for. she started throwing paper at him and belittling him. Now I have no one to help me. Donna just wanted me to settle so she can go on about her day doing nothing or just as okay with me being evicted. She seemed more representing of my landlord then me. When i explained the behavior to her supervisor it was said she was a good attorney. Talking about accountability. Please if your are desperate don't go to this agency they will make sure your family becomes homeless and humilate you while in the process too. I cannot believe the government funds this agency to ruin lives and collect money.

Absolutely don't waste your time! When I tell you they don't know what they are doing I mean exactly that. I feel like they work for the landlords. I won my first case. I had an attorney but he didn't do anything at all. My evidence is what won the case. The fact the landlord's can say anything and lie and no one challenges it is disappointing. People go to them for help but they really help and they pass you off to mediation which never calls you back. I mean never! I finally got a call from mediation when the intake operator got a supervisor to make them call me back. Only that lady to tell me that they have only 3 mediators for all of central Ohio! Only 3! How are they allowed to be this incompetent. The amount of don't care that they have for their clients is disgusting. I should become an attorney based on my experience with these attorneys. I'm sure I can do better than my experience. I don't know who gave them a 5 star rating but it must be a relative of someone that works there. My landlord is still harassing me and they say they can't help. Start somewhere else because they are not it. Ok this is it.

I have been trying to get help with legal aid about my condo situation for over a month. I have been hung up on one. I’ve been talked to like I’m some kind of criminal. I have been told 20 different things and none of those things are correct when they speak with you they speak with you like you’re the worst person in the world. They have no customer service and they don’t help. I’ve been trying to get help. I don’t even know who’s in charge of this place but this place sucks, it’s a shame that people who need help can’t get help because of places like this where the people don’t care you can’t find out any information you can’t get help and they hang up on you. Yes they hang up on you, so I hope whoever runs legal aid, sees this review and tries to get a hold of me because this is ridiculous , I am a person in need of help and they will not help me. They mean the rude it’s horrible. I guess they want everybody to go out and kill themselves for not getting help. It seems like it to me.

Legal aide is fraud they cherry pick who the won’t to help! You make every effort to do the right thing just to discover that it doesn’t matter if money isn’t involved.. Not giving individuals a choice just take it and don’t say or do anything just lay down and let the elite run you over.

I called legal aid and was taken back by the unprofessionalism displayed by the lady who picked up the phone. She answered and did not address where i was calling into and very nasty said “hold” then when she came back on the line she very short and said “where do you want to go” i said can i please explain what my issue is so you can point me in the right direction. She said “she does not have time for that bc she has 16 callers ahead of me “ and before i could say anything she transferred my call somewhere. This was so unprofessional and rude. I hope it is not an indicator how i will be treated while trying to get help.

I would like to thank legal aid for never answering your phone and for two days straight saying you are not taking new cases, So thanks for not helping me while I get kick out of where I'm living and have to take my disable self out into the streets

Derrick or Eric was very rude..talked over me...smacked his lips laughed at my domestic violence situation and my kids having lead poisoning...I answered his questions and he would say ohh my. god ...I am in tears.. I would like to report it..I will try to contact someone that can help me I never been so humiliated in my life..me and my kids had gas thrown on us and was threatened to be set on fire...a baby was beat out of me...my kids have LEAD POSONING AND THATS FUNNY?? AND ANNOYS YOU??

Everyone is so helpful. They go to bat for you and won't stop until they win. Jane, Arriana, Patrick, I unfortunately can't remember everyone's name, because the whole team makes it happen. They have changed my life for the better. Don't hesitate to reach out!

Very upset ! I have a paper trail of doing all this legal aid asked of me . My car was repossed 3 days after my cancer removal surgery I then had chemotherapy and was not able to repbtain the vehicle. I send alot of confidential papers to the legal aide in hope that he will help . He ask me to file a motion of extension so they have time to decide on my case . I did that . 3 days before my case needed to be answer I got a email that he was trying to contact me and that why he couldn’t take my case when I have proof that I very well much was in contact with him ! Now I’m stuck representing myself ! I have 5 kids one being autistic disabled , no assists at the moment , I just needed help I don’t even know where to start in representing my self . I’ve been on paper trail contact with him for two months in regards to this case just to tell me he can’t take it 3 days before an answer at court was needed . So disappointed I was very much qualified .

It matters not what the issue is or if I'm disabled , certain people can receive assistance with the exact legal issues I have experienced seen and watched cases with co workers in the past and neighbors with the same landlords issues currently , yet they always refer me to a private EXPENSIVELY CHEAP DONT CARE Attorneys office .. such a joke .. she stopped me in my explanation never to hear my situation .. before she referred me out. wow so professional hmmm . where's the help and who is getting paid for ??
