I worked with Ben on a legal matter that presented a unique challenge due to the age and legal statutes of that day over 28 years ago. His legal team was able to research the laws of the time and how the courts would currently would handle the circumstances to be able to present a filing for consideration that was successful, that was not, about 19 years ago. I landed myself in legal trouble for the first time in my life on January 17th, 2019. I had no idea what to do. I started my defense with the use of a public defender. It didn’t take me long to realize he was trying to just move the case along as quickly as possible and was accepting what the prosecution was offering without any fight. I met with Ben Luftman for a free consultation. He told me exactly what he thought he could accomplish and how he would do it. I was facing multiple charges. I’ll address them individually...First charge: DUI: the public defender was willing to accept a 1 year license suspension and “party plates” for this (first ovi ever). With Mr. Luftman’s vast knowledge of Ohio OVI laws, he got this reduced to 6 months and no awful yellow “party plates”. The second charge was a felony gun charge carrying a maximum of 1.5 years in jail. Mr. Luftman was able to help me avoid any additional jail time by getting me on ILC instead. Ben and his team is excellent. He helped me to resolve my case on promised time. Also helped me 7 months after the case got closed, to bring out of probation period with out any additional fee. THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING!!! I hired Joe Kunkel for both of my traffic cases (1 for Speeding & 3 months later an accident) & I am so pleased to say that BOTH CASES WERE DISMISSED!!! I had never hired anybody for a traffic case in the past bc I didnt really think that it would help or be worth the expense, but believe me, I will NEVER walk back into a courtroom without representation again. Their prices are super affordable & it's so so worth it when you factor in what a guilty charge costs (fines, court costs, insurance rates, points on your license, etc.) So dont set yourself up by walking into that courtroom alone. Let the professionals handle that for you!
