I recently retained this law firm to help with a custody issue. they ran my card charged me and said they would send a letter. almost 2 weeks later no letter had been sent according to the party that was to receive it. I called to inquire. I was told the lawyer was not in and that they would leave a message to call me back. more than 36 hours later still no response. I drive to the place since they didn't call me back. I get a copy of the letter they say they are not sure why it wasn't received... it was dated for that day... I've been informed that sometimes Microsoft Word will automatically update the date when you go to reprint something but this was not the case because in the response letter i received later it listed that same date.... "Thank you for your letter dated May 7th, 2015" so I'm not sure when they were actually going to do anything for the money that i gave them until i started making noise about it... i tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and his wife seemed nice and so i gave them another chance. She told me that she would call this person on Monday to ensure that they had received the letter and ask them about the pending litigation. I called the following Wednesday to get an update and was told i would get a call back. I wait over a week with no call back on an update so I'm forced to drive there again as no one will communicate with me unless I show up. I get there and they bring out the response letter. The legal assistant brings it out and begins talking to me about it. the letter showed me in a bad light and it seemed as if to me that they had read it and were judging me. I could be wrong but that's the way it felt and considering none of them took the time to get to know me or could even communicate with me even the smallest details I guess I shouldn't expect any understanding or compassion for my situation from them. It was a terrible customer service experience. They don't have time for me and they probably don't have time for you. P.S. the contract they have you sign is totally in their favor (obviously) and it seems sketchy. had I read it I wouldn't have signed it but I'm young and inexperienced and was stressed and eager to get help. I will know for next time. Buyer Beware.

I used Mr. Allen for my Chapter 13. When I started, he and his wife were very responsive. However during the 5 years of my payment plan, they became less and less responsive. I am now at the end of my plan and can't get a response to save my life. I've sent multiple emails regarding my questions about my final payments (when do they actually end, etc.) and nothing. I finally had to call the trustee to get the answers they should be providing. Very disappointing as they were paid to represent me until final discharge which they are not doing.
