My wife used Shelly for a child custody case and Shelly was excellent. Words cannot describe the easein which she worked with us. Shelly kept us updated on every aspect of the proceedings. Shelly was readily available for us with no communication issues. In the courtroom, Shelly excelled and got my wife the result that she promised us. I would not hesitate to recommend Shelly Kennedy.

I would not recommend this attorney for nothing. I have a ongoing case as we speak and so far this attorney is making me feel like she is working with the person that I am going to court against. I have paid this attorney up front and now she doesn't even speak to me until the hearing. I can't even get ahold of her to discuss issues. And everytime I do get ahold of someone its her secretary. The secretary always tells me ( your attorney is on vacation and can't speak to you). This happened twice in a 2 month period. Her vacations lasted at least 2 week each time I have tryed to speak to her. But when I do get ahold of her, she acts like these issues doesn't even matter and wouldn't even come up in court. Sad part about that is those issues comes up in the court hearing and she is then puzzeled. Another issue that is making me despise this attorney is that the other party doesn't even have an attorney to represent him and everything that he has asked in court is so far being granted. I highly don't recommend this attorney to no one. Look for someone else. Save your money for a better attorney that knows how to defend you in court. Because this one is worthly

I was a little leery at first, because Shelly is pretty laid back and nothing seems to phase her. I suppose it's because she has seen and heard it all. But once she was in deposition, she obliterated my wife -- caught her in so many lies, and exposed her for the truth. Then we were in the court and Shelly did a great job. She was so prepared and knew the right questions to ask my wife. My spousal support went from $1,000.00 per month to $350.00 a month -- I could live with that. I really would recommend Attorney Kennedy. I read the other reviews here, and some of the not so positive ones seem to be written by clients not paying their bill -- at least that one review you can figure that out just by what was said. My divorce wasn't cheap, but that is not what I was after. I wanted someone to be very aggressive and very prepared. Shelly was both.

Shelly really helped me through a tough time. I ended up with my kids and my 401(K) intact. For that I am grateful. She kept in regular contact me and I appreciate the ability to talk to her on the weekends. She returned my telephone calls and saw me before Court. The process was longer than I would have liked, but I guess that is the court system for you. There wasn't a whole lot of arguing back an forth -- some for awhile, but it still took us about a year to get divorced. I thought my attorney knew her stuff and gave me the advice that I needed to hear. She didn't blow smoke and just tell me what I wanted to hear. My attorney fees seemed reasonable and I'm glad to be done with the process. I would highly recommend Shelly if you are going through a divorce or custody case. She will take care of matters and get your case done as fast as possible.

Communication was nearly non-existent which made it difficult to understand how the divorce was moving forward. Divorce is difficult enough to not need any added stress to the process. Retain someone who is concerned about you, not just the paycheck you bring to the table.

After terminating previous council , i hired Shelly Kennedy . This was a very good move because Shelly finalized my divorce in less than one year . everything went in my favor . I was very fortunate to take over custody of my three children, which I do not feel my previous counsel would have even tried for. As well as full rights to my home . They are very quick on responses and even call back on the weekends. I would highly recommend Shelly and her staff. Shelly is fighter and will do her best to get you want you are entitled to.

Horrible; unprofessional; unethical. The bills were bogus and not accurate as a matter of fact I was able to prove this in court and the judge agreed with me. Her bills had incorrect rates e.g. billing for her vs the legal aid. Thankfully I had all my records to prove it in court. If you try to make payments she won't work with you its only a $200 minimum. I will never recommend her to anyone. Save your money and get someone else. She didn't do her job and tried to bill you for services she didn't even do. She wont help you with child support - you have to do this all your own. Her staff were very unprofessional and NEVER communicated with each other and kept billing you for the same questions from each legal aid. Save your money and headache with her. ** update to the below person who thinks they know me .. yes I did make payments and no her staff was giving out legal advise on her behalf. Once again RUN AWAY from this poor excuse of an atty.

Worst lawyer EVER. Save your money, never dealt with such unprofessional person in my life. She sends her legal aids to do her work, they are the ones who gave the legal advise NOT shelly. SAVE YOUR MONEY NOW! She states she will accept payments but wont, the office staff doesn't communicate and costs you more money because you have to keep telling the same story over and over COSTING YOU MORE. Pretty sad when you can hire another atty and they even tell you that Shelly's WORTHLESS! She doesn't even do her own work; the other atty's do it for you. I had to get my own child support; do all my own work and still charges a TON of money for NO WORK. I am doing you a favor GET SOMEONE ELSE NOW!!!

I came to Shelly after being another attorney for a year. Within three months, Shelly was able to get me custody of my daughter. She filed a bunch motions for the Court and was really aggressive. Her office staff is great too -- they kept me informed and answered all of my questions.

I hired Shelly for my divorce case after a year of going back and forth with another lawyer. Shelly got right down to the point and focused her energies on getting me my property that my ex-wife was trying to take. Shelly fought hard for me and eventually we won -- I got my house and all my retirement accounts. I would highly recommend Shelly.

Shelly represented me in my Divorce and custody case. The case lasted about 2 years. I was very satisfied with Shelly. She was very professional. She kept me well informed and answered any questions i had. She also has a great paralegal that kept me informed when Shelly was unavailable. I would and have reccomended Shelly to anyone going through a divorce.

Shelly is an excellent lawyer. She handled my divorce and custody case that took 2 years to resolve. The length of time that it took was not Shelly's fault. I liked the fact that I could choose whether to communicate directly with Shelly or use one of her paralegals. The current reviews are not fair -- probably someone who didn't want to pay their legal fees or for lawyer time, yet complained about the use of paralegals. Shelly advised me well, was dogged in the courtroom and kept me informed all along the way. I would recommend her to anyone.
