I can’t stress enough the importance of having, and or choosing the right legal representation. Whether it is for you personally, or for your business, as I had to find out the hard way, after finding myself in a dispute a short time after selling my business of 25 years, that quickly escalated into a breach of business purchase agreement, Breach of lease agreement, and breach of promissory note. Of course, I had an attorney that I had previously used for some of my business transactions, sending letters out on my behalf. I thought they would be able to handle this for me with no problem, that turned out to be a very timely and costly decision that played out for over 18 months and left me worst off then when I started, but this was my reality, and I knew that I needed to make some drastic changes if I was going to have a chance. As settlement talks had completely broken down and both sides were now filing lawsuits. That’s when I sought out looking for the best trial attorneys in Oklahoma, I knew that the facts and truth were on my side, But as I found out none of that matters if you don’t have the right attorney or representation that knows and understands Oklahoma’s laws, has the trial experience in navigating thought this complex legal system, and knows what it takes to win. That’s when I found Brown & Flesch, I knew after only a short time of meeting with them and sharing my situation that they were it! and I will tell you that it was the best decision I ever made. Dane, and George, both were very involved with my case and utilized their vast knowledge and experience with Oklahoma’s law. With extensive and successful trial experience together to turn the tide on my case, this was no easy task, and by no means happened over night. But after going through several motions, they filed for us that ended in our favor, and then a major summary judgement they filed that was also in our favor, and then a reconsideration of the same summary judgment that we also won, and let me tell you it wasn’t even close Dane and George wiped the floor with them on these motions. This was a huge blow to the opposing side and the scales of justice were finally tipping in our favor. After further discovery and depositions, and the continued hard work and hours that were put in, by Dane and George, and including myself, to disprove their claims they brought in this case against us, it was clear that all the evidentiary facts of this entire case were in our favor, and the opposing sides claims were not holding up so well. After Dane and George shredded their claims with the Law and facts, which, backed them into a corner. They finally had no choice but to settle with us out of court, ending this dispute once and for all, just 4 weeks before trial. This Law firm in my opinion is hands down one of the best in Oklahoma, based on my personal experience with them. Their professionalism, how I was represented, and their knowledge and experience are second to none. By the results they were able to get in my case. My only regret is that I didn’t hire them sooner, potentially even before I sold my business, to look everything over and protect my interest. Which I believe would have prevented this dispute from happening in the first place. Or even as soon as this dispute started. I believe it would have been over with Dane and George handling it for me. So, don’t make the same mistake I did, don’t wait! Hire the best upfront and get ahead of the curb, you won’t regret it. I always operated my company with honesty, honor and integrity and looked every one of my customers in the eye, shook their hand and gave them my personal word, that I would take care of them and that I would always do the right thing by them. I believe that Dane and George share these same values and that is not so common these days.
