We were originally told that we would need a $3000 retainer. Once we met, they talked us into $5000. After, that, Eric failed to respond to the motion the other party had filed. He just ate through our retainer with a bunch of nonsense emails. We had to dismiss him as our attorney and retain someone else. It took many efforts to dismiss him, and he eventually filed a motion to withdrawal and lied about the reason for withdrawing. They also breached the contract that we signed. Furthermore, damaged our case and cost us thousands more. We ended up with two cases (an additional case with DHS). We asked Eric regarding an emergency order to remove the child from her father's house. Instead, Eric suggested we open an investigation with DHS because it would be free. We went from joint custody to the child being removed from the father's house and ending up in DHS custody. This was due to Eric's negligence and horrible advice. Once we called to retain a new attorney, they all told us that was the worst advice any attorney could have given us. We would have rather paid for an emergency order, but Eric just wanted to sit back and eat through our retainer. Months went by and he even failed to respond to the petitioner's motion. We were lied to about discovery, and he failed to answer our question regarding a mediation date. We asked several times, and he never gave us an answer. We are moving forward with filing a complaint with the bar association, and suing for malpractice/damages and breach of contract. ***I wrote a review a couple weeks ago and it has been removed, so I am posting again. It appears they pay for reviews and to have negative reviews removed*** If this review is removed, I will make sure to post on other platforms.
