The Johnston Law firm helped me immensely. After my injury due to negligence of the property management at the townhouse complex where my wife and I leased our home, I called Marc's office. I explained the situation over the phone, and Marc personally came to my home to evaluate the unsafe conditions that led to three broken bones. Marc didn't make wild claims or promise unrealistic compensation. He was honest about the challenges and costs of filing a claim, and if necessary, a lawsuit. My point being, that if Marc accepts your case, he does so because he sees legitimate legal reasons for your claim(s). The staff at Marc's firm was always professional, polite, and efficient. They responded to my frequent questions patiently, and explained legal terms in a way that I would understand. Marc Johnston achieved a fantastic result where others were afraid to even try! My Leukemia diagnosis came at the most inopportune time....that is, during a 5 month inadvertent lapse of my disability insurance. After paying premiums for 21 years I was abruptly turned down for benefits. Two other attorneys told me that according to the policy and the law I was not entitled to benefits and that it would be a waste of time and money to pursue it further. Thankfully, I was referred to Marc Johnston and all of that changed! August 1, 2014 In 2009, I was rear-ended by another driver while stopped at an intersection. As a result of the collision, I had to endure a multitude of treatments including months of physical therapy, injections, a shoulder surgery and two neck surgeries . Knowing I would need help in recovering property losses as well as long-term care costs, I sought out a general attorney for legal help. I was referred to Marc from a friend, who had a very favorable outcome with his services. After seeing all of Marc's reviews and especial the peer reviews, I decided to try his free consultation, to see if he could help. Marc listened to my issue and happily gave me some advice. There was no pressure for a retainer and he recommended I try a couple of avenues first and then hire him if they didn't work. His advice worked great and I was able to get things settled on my own. I'm almost certain it wouldn't have worked in my favor, if it wasn't for Marc's help. It was very refreshing to have an attorney who wants to help and not just take your money. I will definitely use Marc in the future and won't hesitate to refer him to anyone else.

A Very Effective Negotiator: I found Marc Johnston online and then after our initial meeting hired him to represent me with several insurance companies that should have reimbursed me for my out of pocket costs. Marc was very adept at applying appropriate and increasing pressure on the insurance companies. Marc was very good about keeping me informed about what he was doing on my behalf and his opinion on what next steps to take. Ultimately the insurance companies settled before we filed a lawsuit. The outcome settlement was quite a bit more than I had hoped or expected. I was very happy not to go through the time and expense of a lawsuit. My opinion and experience with the Johnston Law Firm was nothing but positive. I was out running on a road above Portland's Forest Park, Skyline Drive. I choose to to stay off roads, would rather run trails. I was running against traffic coming at me for a best view for a short distance back to my car, about 3/4 of a mile. A vehicle traveling in the same direction I was running crossed the center lane, made a hard turn to avoid hitting me but caused there vehicles rear end to knock me into a ditch filled with rocks. I spent 9 days in an ER, unconscious and followed with 3 separate Rehab facilities. I suffered a traumatic head injury that thankfully is continuing to minimize. I was on disability leave from work for 6 months. I was very fortunate, could have been much worse.
