This is my experience after one year with this legal team: They were not honest with me when they said they needed more time for "discovery" in Jan/Feb with a trial in June. When I find out the real reason listed on the document is my lawyer has a pre-planned family vacay I'm still ok with it because I want this lawyer...until I learn they charged me over $300 to accommodate his vacation. To their credit I complained and they refunded this amount--but shady right? Later, I prepared the settlement offer myself and emailed it to my attorney 5weeks before it needed to go out the door. After a late reminder email from me, they finally started working on it. The lawyer said it was better than most of his clients could do on their own and he had to change only one paragraph. Turns out, they edited the wrong version of the document then sent a document with errors to the opposing legal team with a 4 day decision time and my lawyer wasn't even in the office on the deadline... The best thing yet is they blame me for their delay and for not reviewing the document well enough before it went out?!? Is it my fault I assumed they were working on the latest version of the document? Then they bring in a new lawyer and want me to have an hour long meeting to read him in. $8-9,000 into this and I don't have a divorce yet. I just parted ways with them and I haven't slept so well in months. I would recommend a smaller practice that comes recommended and has just one or two people working on the case. I regret signing up with these guys.

My ex tried to go after me for "hiding" assets, which I didn't. My team at Gevurtz Menashe advised me well and proved my innocence against an unreasonable and often opposing counsel. They were professional and always looked for the most reasonable way to end things quickly even though the opposing counsel only wanted to prolong the litigation regardless of the outcome.

The intake process is broken. I called to get a consultation and the receptionist asked me if I wanted to fire my current attorney before she would schedule a consultation. I thought that was very cynical.

My ex husband came after me hard $103k, 2 homes and half of all vehicles personal items etc. He was awarded $15k
