Poor service. Didn't even know who I was. Had the wrong case file at my sentencing. A public defender would have done better. Now they claim I owe then 500 dollars. Garbage liars...

I got into a rather sticky situation with a DUI car crash back in October. I had never been in trouble legally before with anything but was facing four misdemeanor charges as a result of the incident. I was initially facing some jail time and some other quite serious repercussions. Marc was brilliant at negotiating a plea that was of minimal consequence to my life and my future. He even reached out to my immigration attorney (not a U.S. citizen) to sort out what the best deal from a U.S. customs perspective. From the price I paid to what was achieved, I am very happy with my choice in hiring Marc. All I have to do is my part with a few little things to have the whole incident behind me and off my record!

I have worked with a number of attorneys on a number of issues - copyright violations, creating corporations, international and domestic contracts, creating trademarks, securing copyrights, a divorce, land use and battling a seizure from US Fish and Wildlife. I have worked with attorneys in Los Angeles, Belgium, Las Vegas, Atlanta and a number of others in Salem. I have been fortunate thus far that most of the attorneys I have worked with have been competent and efficient to some degree. However, in working with Gunn and Gunn and Marc Gunn in particular on contracts, land use, business counsel, some copyright work and battling US Fish and Wildlife, I have found an added measure of personal investment I have not seen elsewhere. With Marc, I have never been made to feel that my questions were less than welcome or that my timing didn't suit his schedule. I have had the distinct and unfortunate impression from other attorneys that somehow they were my client instead of the reverse. Marc's professionalism, accessibility and the personal interest he has shown in my needs has been beyond what I have experienced or sadly come to expect from attorneys. I have always felt that my calls or even stopping into his office is welcome, even if he can't immediately answer my questions. He quickly researches and offers solutions or a pathway to proceed. When were having difficulty completing the purchase of land last year, Marc stepped in and almost immediately remedied the issues that my wife and I and the seller could not resolve because her land was tied up in an East coast trust while her attorneys dragged their feet and were of little help. Marc has been most helpful and generous in working with me to draw up contracts with my counterpart overseas, often charging me less than I expected, and far less than I have been charged by my attorney in Las Vegas for similar work. About 3 years ago I had a shipment seized by US Fish and Wildlife for a clerical error. They proved to be nearly impossible to work with and were frankly misleading in declaring my case closed with no remedy or recourse. Even though I don't think that it was Marc's area of expertise, he was the only attorney I spoke with who quickly found answers as to how to exercise my due process, how to submit my petition for remission and strategies for how to deal with an impenetrable bureaucracy. i spoke with two or three other attorneys at the time, one of which was supposed to be an expert in dealing with the department of the interior, but either received no follow up or unhelpful information from all of them that I had already found myself through simple Google searches. And again, Marc was generous with his time and billed me very fairly. I would highly recommend Marc to anyone seeking an attorney. I have found him to be a constant and reliable resource in running my business as well as a capable and excellent counsel on personal and financial matters.
