"Owner of company" only replies to 5 star ratings, which is telling behavior. When a large portion of your customer base hates you after they sign up with you, you need to fix what is wrong. Happy customers don't need your attention, but unsatisfied and angry customers do need your attention** Do not be fooled by ratings, the agents literally talk people through the review during the signup process and insist on giving 5 stars and mine wanted me to mention his name. Took them years to get my debts settled, most were above the promised 40%. They charged me legal fees ahead of settling all of my accounts. Bait and switch, in my opinion. Don't give credit for interest earned in the account they create to save money, also ended up paying extra payments because settlements were more than promised. Took 4 years and still hasn't been fully resolved yet. Credit eventually recovers, but it's a long road. If I had to do it over again, I would not do this nor would I use this company. Trustpilot reviews shouldn't be trusted, they tell you to click the link they send you while you're on the phone with them and make you choose 5 stars, and always it's at the beginning of the process when people don't know any better. UPDATE: I heard from a Facebook user that there's criminal and legal action brewing. If you know who to contact to boost criminal action or an existing case against them, I'd appreciate you reaching out on Facebook. Same name. Thanks!!

After reading all these bad reviews, I don’t have to go into any details about my experience because other clients has told my story. My advice to anyone looking to consolidate debt: DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DO ANY BUSINESS WITH HELBING LAW GROUP: I hope future prospective clients will read the review first because they are real! This Company takes your money and don’t do what they PROMISED they can do for you. It’s a SCAM and a big RIPOFF. FUTURE CLIENTS BEWARE!

This company and many more like them are all scammers. I will get to the bottom of their fraudulent activities and get them shut down. I don’t know how they are doing this for so long without being persecuted.

This is really refreshing for me to read all these bad reviews to know I'm not the only one having issues with Helbing. I started the program in September 2021 and paid my monthly payments till I believe November of 2022 and once I finished making my payments this nightmare was over and didn't have to worry about my 3 loans I had anymore. March comes around and I get a summons to appear in court because one of the creditors is taking me to court. I call Helbing and they didn't even start negotiating with anyone. Then they tell me they settled with 1 creditor and they have to pay them monthly for almost the whole total of the loan. Then they said they got a settlement amount for the one taking me to court but I need to pay an additional $1800 because I didn't have enough to settle. These people promised to help settle on the initial phone consultation and I wouldn't have to worry about it or pay anymore and they were going to settle for barely anything. All lies they barely got the total down and just recently took another $450 out of my settlement money only to tell me its program fees. Like seriously you already took your money in the beginning. Do not work with this company.

Poor service, very fraudulent group. I ended giving them $6,000.00 and they still couldn't close off my debt. You're better off fighting your own debts by coming to a settlement payment yourself with your creditors. You can offer them 30-40% directly instead of paying the Helping Law group to do this for you. Trust me this group can and is screwing people over. Again, you can reach a settlement on your own with your debtors.

Terrible company!! Lack of communication, no follow up, poor portal updates! This company is a joke! We completed our monthly payments and it’s been 6 months with no update or attempt to settle with our debtors!! We are in the process of purchasing a home and Helbing has not helped us with anything! We paid over $13,000 to this company with NO RESOLUTION!! don’t waste your time please!!!

I cannot warn you enough about this fraudulent company. Do not be deceived about your first initial phone call with a competent representative, this will be the one and only call where your questions and concerns are valid, after this call any ability to contact this company to discuss accounts will be met with hour long holds, promises of call backs, and an inability to keep any commitments on paying accounts will be met with lies and false promises

Please avoid this company at all costs. I am a current customer and it has been a year of poor communication, lack of follow through, and deceit. Initially they will be extremely attentive to get the sale. They will call daily and give you an assigned representative, who will seem completely invested in settling your accounts. After the initial sale is made you will have basically zero chance of speaking to anyone knowledgeable about your accounts, I have spent two weeks calling daily to just try to get my payment changed to a new account. It is virtually impossible to communicate with them or understand how your account is handled after the initial sale, especially if you pay their fees upfront. You will have representatives with poor English and be transferred constantly until the account is disconnected.
