I had enrolled in this program back in 2019 and I was very hopeful that they would able to help me with my overwhelming debt. Then after being a part of the program for a while, the process started to sound confusing and I guess I didn't understand fully and consider how much of the upfront fees from my monthly payments would go to the attorney's first before it would go into my escrow account and I got discouraged. I would wait for updates and wouldn't hear anything months at a time, so I decided I would take matters into my own hands and speed this process up. So I reached out at different times and would get customer representatives that weren't so helpful until one day I finally got a customer rep name Christa Sanchez who heard my frustration and didn't want me to give up since I have gotten so far. So she took the initiative to look into my account and try to help me resolve some of my concerns. Once she looked thoroughly into my account she saw that the first problem was, I wasn't being contacted and updated by my original assigned negotiator. So she took the initiative to put a request and had my negotiator switched and I was then connected with the negotiator supervisor named Louie Pabion. Christa reassured me that I would be in good hands now and my account will finally get handle in the proper manner. Then later before she transferred me, she offered her assistance for future concerns. After then Louie took over and further assisted me with my account. Louie Pabion was so helpful, he heard my concerns went to work on them, immediately. He stayed in contact with me continuously and reassured me that he would get it done. He worked diligently on my accounts ever since he was assigned to me and was finally able to help me settle and close both accounts. And as of today July 9, 2021, I received a letter congratulating me on getting my debts settled at the promise settlement agreement of 40% of the original debt. All is well now. Thank you so much Christa and Louie for all your help. I am grateful.

*** This issue has been fully resolved. Thank you to Kanesha S. for your efforts, very much appreciated. Kanesha did an excelled job of cleaning up someone else's mess and was able provide me with much needed information. Thanks to her time and attention my account is fully resolved with the creditor** After making a lump sum payoff amount last September for two accounts which were both settled, I never received any sort of confirmation that my last account had been paid off. After calling over several months and getting no answer in regards to the account being paid off a representative informs me this is because there is additional money owed. After calling every week for a month I am now informed that I owe an additional $3000.00 on an account which I was told was paid in full. NEVER ONCE WAS I CONTACTED ABOUT THIS! Two months shy of a year post "payoff" I owe an additional 3K!? How incredibly infuriating it is to receive ZERO communication for almost a year only to find this out after days of calling. My plan, four years in the making, of trying to buy a house is now being held up over an error made by Helbing Law and my only real means forward is to make another lump sum payment. The representative responsible for the error made an attempt to customer service her way out of a massive botched job today. I hardly ever review anything, for me this one is way too important to let go. Here is your negative review. It was well earned. C. Client authorizes HLG to accept on Client’s behalf any offers to settle any or all of Client’s Debts if such amount is 40% or less of the amount of the individual debt owed by Client and as listed on Exhibit A. HLG shall not settle on Client’s behalf any of Client’s Debts without Client’s EXPRESS PERMISSION if such settlement is in excess of 40% of the amount of any individual debt owed by Client and as listed on Exhibit A. HOW I WAS CLEARLY INFORMED OF AN INCREASE IN PAYMENT EMAIL SUBJECT: RE: Capital One v Mallory Hammock _DOCUMENTS NEEDED ASAP!! AT NO POINT IN TIME WERE ADDITIONAL PAYMENTS MENTIONED BY ANYONE EVER. It was my mistake for not re reading their contract and signing a settlement agreement two years ago. (documents needed asap!!) is not an appropriate way to handle an increase in payment of $3000.00. It is by far the mistake of several employees of HLG that lead to my current situation. This is not informed consent. This is barely legal business practice. My entire goal for hiring HLG was to consolidate debt in order to be on a better financial track faster. HLG's lack of communication, lack of accountability, and lack of intent to inform has negated my original purpose. Do not hire.
