We were in Heaven when we began working with McAndrews Law, they were empathic, knowledgeable, and fought a good court battle. Why the one star? Odd huh? In 2004, we settled with the school district for a hefty sum, of which McAndrews got around 36%. We were told that our daughter's share would be placed in a trust for compensatory education and the trustee would guide us in treatment and educational programs to help her recover. THE ONE STAR: McAndrews actually gave control of the trust TO the district we sued without our knowledge. THAT'S INSANE! Our attorney's reasoning was that the district was scared now and they would cooperate. Really? And how would she know that? The school district's attorney told her (he happened to be her friend.) TRUE STORY! THE INSANITY CONTINUES: The district refused to reimburse our daughter for even a thesaurus without a fight. THEY WERE NOT SCARED, THEY WERE NOW OUT FOR BLOOD. When I asked our attorney (Mrs. Konkler-Goldsmith) how this could have happened she told me I was ungrateful and asked what the hurry was to use the trust. Our daughter had graduated by the time we settled and was in desperate need of services. In addition, she only had 2 years to spend it or the district was to keep it. The school went on to bully us and our younger daughter, who was in the same district, so badly that we had to sue the district again and enroll her in a private school. Bottom line: McAndrews Law Attorneys are smart, they're savy, appear caring and they're known as champions for the disabled. BUT, something is very wrong with this picture and we find it hard to believe we're the only ones who have experienced this type of betrayal.

I have been a client of McAndrews Law Offices for years and as an owner of a small business myself, customer service and response time are crucial. McAndrews Law Offices hits both out of the park. Dennis has built quite a firm that can cover all needs with regards to law. The strength of his firm is impressive, but has that small firm feel. That is very important because no matter how big or small of a client, you feel like you are the most important person. I look forward to working with them again very soon.

When I had to use McAndrews for litigation, they were right on top of it. Their staff was always there to assist and the lead attorney was in constant contact with us and ready to help. Highly recommend!

I am surprised to hear others have had bad experiences. I have nothing but positive things to say about the attorneys and other personnel that work for McAndrews Law Offices. They are knowledgeable, patient, experienced, and well worth the money.

We were awarded a special needs trust that was assigned (without our consent) to McAndrews law firm. They charged an exorbitant amount of money to initially draw the trust up. There was a last minute stipulation to the award and McAndrews nailed us again with the same outrageous fee when they redrafted the trust. They got a great racket going on. Our trust was placed with them and they put our trust (once again without our consent) to a particular financial firm. Any time we had a problem with the trust, we tried to reach out to the lawyer who drew up the trust. 95% of the time she never returned phone calls. When she did, she was disinterested and tried to placate us with the solution, "oh well what can you do?" Charged ridiculous amount of money, a few hundred dollars for a 4 minute phone conversation. In a few months, they nipped the trust for some $40,000. We stopped using them several months ago and to date, they collected more money from this trust then the beneficiary has. When it comes to law firms, you'll be hard pressed to find a more flim-flam, louche, unscrupulous firm than this one.

I can't say enough good things about MLO. The attorneys are based upon a genuine devotion to helping others which is truly refreshing. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a strong advocate that is dedicated to speaking up for those that need their voice to be heard.
