The Family Law Office of Gregory Lamonaca represents exactly the interests with respect to last category. I met Chris Casserly years ago at a business networking group, when I never would have imagined I’d need his services. Upon discovering what he did for a living and hearing him speak about it, I remember distinctly thinking, “this is the last attorney I want representing my opposition in court”. His presence and demeanor commands respect, and upon retaining his counsel I soon discovered he has the legal knowledge and skill set to back it up. A bit of background on my situation: I am a single, out of school district father who was trying at all cost to secure a set and stable custody situation/schedule for my 6-year old son. Anyone who is mildly familiar with custody disputes in Pennsylvania (and the US in general) knows that historically, courts are Draconian in favor of mothers. I hadn’t slept well in years, fearing that should I pursue the legal route it would backfire, and all would be lost, potentially landing me and my son in a worse situation than my current one at the time. Reluctantly, timidly, and with great trepidation, I resolved to hire Chris to represent my interests. Reflecting upon this, I am yet to make a better decision in my life. Having many of the negative stereotypes regarding attorneys ingrained in my head, I went in for my first consultation, expecting a bunch of convoluted legal jargon. The first thing I appreciated about Chris was that he quickly dispelled all these ideas with his personable and relatable manner. Within 20 minutes he had diffused all my anxiety and had me believing that he had a viable strategy to achieve my goals. Chris is a family man himself, and I truly believe he practices in his field with a conviction that he is, “righting” wrongs, especially and most importantly, for the unfortunate children involved. From the time we established our winning strategy to the moment he shook my hand congratulating me, after absolutely decimating my ex’s lawyer in court, I never had a doubt in my mind that he would get me the results my family needed. He is available, quick to respond, and while he isn’t cheap (let us not forget--you always pay for quality, or you will get the quality you pay for), he is extremely reasonable for the expertise he offers, and always errs on the conservative side when it comes to billing. This is a man who operates with integrity first, and to me as a father, this was priority number one. Chris has impacted our lives immeasurably for the better, and for this I cannot begin to express my gratitude. His work gives him the power to change lives for the better--and because of his values as a professional, a human, and a fellow father, he has an advocate in me for life.
