In addition to getting my end-of-life affairs in order, I had to navigate an exceedingly painful and complicated family situation that I was thoroughly supported through by the thoughtful, patient, and knowledgeable folx at Giampolo Law. From the beginning, Angela communicated the steps we would need to take to address the issues I presented, and she checked in with me regularly to make sure I understood each step of the process. I especially appreciated the consistent, clear communication from Angela and her staff, as well as Angela’s willingness to coordinate with my family members, best friend, financial planner, and another, much less stellar law group. I got in touch with Angela when I was feeling confused and overwhelmed dealing with paperwork after my mom’s passing. When I first spoke with her, I was put immediately at ease. She helped to explain something to me so simply after months of things not making sense when dealing with my mom’s lawyer. She went on to help me to create my own will, to file paperwork to create my LLC, and to create a document of agreement between myself and my business partner. It is so empowering to know that I can take on so many challenges, and leave these very important details to Angela. She provided the support I needed to take my life’s goals and visions to the next level. To top it off, she is not just a member of the LGBTQIA community. She is a trailblazer. She is engaged, connected, and committed to advocacy work. As a trans man, the sometimes conflicting documents (related to pronouns and name changes) was a complete non-issue. I know that others who are in the same boat know how priceless this is and how something like having someone whole-heartedly in our corner can be the difference between not doing something and doing everything we set our minds to.

Estate planning is one of the most difficult thing I have ever done. We all work hard for our money and that should be respected in life and after it. It’s so complex it is easy to find any excuse to not do it. Angela Giampolo made me feel completely at ease. We had a discussion of assets and I was given alternatives for distribution. We discussed estate taxes and set up an option that made the most sense for me- a trust. And after that we talked about power of attorney, living will and a trust to care for my dog when I am gone. Angela is as patient as she is knowledgeable. I am so glad I found her and used her legal services. End of life planning is hard. Angela made it much easier. She is the best there is.
