The decision to get a divorce was the most difficult decision I have ever had to make. There is a roller coaster of emotions that go along with making the decision. Most notably is the fear of not knowing how it will affect your time with your children or how it will impact you financially. Another important factor was the fear of being judged for your decision. Once the decision was made I was referred to the law offices of Hostak, Henzl & Bichler by a friend. I set my first appointment up with Jen and immediately knew that I was in a safe place. My best interest and the interest of my kids was going to be her priority. Once the process was started she kept me informed every step of the way. If I had a question about something she was quick to get back to me with an answer. All important court dates were set up immediately, and I was able to see a light at the end of the tunnel very early on in the process. The same level of support continued after everything was finalized. Jen continued to help me through the allocation of property process until everything was complete. Professional, hardworking, and compassionate are words that I would use to describe Jennifer Hemmer. I strongly recommend giving her a call if you find yourself with a difficult situation and all that is stopping you is fear of the process.

We had the pleasure of working with April King on our Estate plan in developing a Will and Trust for us. April was very thorough and detailed on the administrative interview, finding out our wishes and goals for our Estate and heirs so that she could cover all contingencies that may occur. She made suggestions that we had not thought of and created scenarios that helped us in clarifying our desires in managing our estate. April contacted us numerous times through the process to clarify, explain and suggest alternative directives. We had gone to a few Estate Planning seminars put on by larger estate planning firms but felt it was too much of a boiler-plate approach and processed like a “trust mill” where we would not get the detailed individual service we desired. So I lived in a really really really bad neighborhood ran by some incredibly currupt,shady and just down right petty slum Lord scum bags that were trying to unlawfully evict me. He used excellent outside the box tactics to compel the best possible results to my case. It really was epic honestly my lack of sleep due to stress was a blessing because watching the man work it'd be very hard to not react like the audience of a roast who just witnessed a really good burn. Now im happy to say that iv gotten everything lined up and paid for to move well before deadline to a very very nice spot and I'll definitely recommend him to anyone needing any kind of litigation and honestly would love to watch this attorney and see how he does other cases because he's got some moves it really was truly impressive. Going through a divorce is not the time period where my head was clearest or my manners the most polite. I needed time without getting hit with a lot of calls.
Steve was available to me and not the other way around. This meant so much at a time not much respect was coming my way. When I needed him he would meet after hours and work on my case for as long as needed.
Steve is an attorney who is absolutely present when working on your case with you. He is very open and aware of the amount of time each different option will take, will cost.

Jenn is an absolute wonder. She and her staff helped me through my mother's estate and setting up my own families trust. It's hard to find someone to trust with your assets, but after extensive research and reading reviews (plus - gut instinct) - it was a homerun. Jen returns calls and messages that same day or in some cases within minutes. Don't know how many people actually know about the work that goes into estate planning and setting up a family trust - It's a lot... 'trust' me. Jen went over every aspect of what the whole process encompasses. Sometimes it gets confusing, but she understands that it's a lot to take in and doesn't have any problem going over things with you again.

We conferred with Jen about drawing up our wills. We had definite ideas about how we wanted our affairs handled, but we didn't think we needed a Trust. Just a simple will. Jen was very patient and explained that what we wanted to do was exactly what a Trust was designed to do. Still, we just wanted a simple will. Jen did not press us and continued to try and make our wishes work with just a simple will. As we worked together, we began to see that she was right and eventually established a Living Trust. We have so much peace of mind now knowing that when the time comes, our affairs will be handled according to our wishes. I really appreciate Jen's patience and ability to explain things.

Paige and James are an incredible team! I was in a very complicated and uncertain predicament both financially and legally. I had a tragic situation that took my father's life, my mom was extremely ill and living in an outragelously expensive nursing home. I had met with 4 estate planning attornies before I found Paige and James and every single one basically told me there was nothing they could do for me. (and charged me a lot to tell me no and nothing!!) I was an emotional mess, exhausted and confused. I called a 5th attorney who couldn't help me because she didn't handle Lake County, but referred me to James Siebert. I met with James and Paige to discuss my situation. They didn't tell me no, they said maybe and we will have to see. They gave me multiple options to my senairos and advised me on what they felt was the best way to handle each issue I was faced with. Where to start? How about the beginning... My wife and I started a family late in life and only now were financially able to purchase our first home together. Being a huge financial decision, we also decided it was time to create our wills should the unfortunate happen to one or both of us. We wanted to protect our survivor and our now 20-year-old child.
For months we surfed in the internet and asked various friends for advice, not necessarily asking them for referrals. This is our private business and we treated it as such. We wanted to make our own decisions, not be overly influenced by others. We happened to come upon GAWTP in Marietta and read up on them, doing some research at various professional online sites too. After comparing them to other possibilities, I decided to give them a call for a free consult. The administrative/office assistant, Rachel, was very pleasant, and seemed to appreciate my whacky self-deprecating sense of humor and we hit it off (good sign). She took down the necessary information and told me to expect a call from one of the firm's attorneys in the very near future.
Well, sure enough, within a day I was speaking to Amanda Riedling, WOW...!!! She just hit it out of the park. Unassuming, pleasant, cheerful, and eager. I like that last one best. She explained in not too boring detail (lol) what to expect and that was all it took. She just made these life decisions seem simple. She and her team would do the dirty work, all we had to do was supply them with various details. Done deal. I hired them.
We scheduled an online meeting and went over all the pertinent options clients, such as us, could face. We are far from being considered wealthy. Not on fixed income yet, but getting closer every day (lol). I was supplied with links to video tutorials on not only what to expect, but how to best make the decisions themselves. Wonderfully done! Kudos to Dawn.
We've since visited their office in downtown Marietta, signed our documents, had them witnessed, and actually enjoyed the entire process from start to finish. We even took our new puppy with us!
You'd think making these types of decisions would be rather agonizing and maybe stressful since they are about the end of life, however Amanda was so caring, sensitive to our needs, easy-going, so heartwarming, we just felt like we mattered. My wife and I made a great decision. You can too.

Since It had been 19 years since we had our wills, POAs, and ADs drawn up and in that time our attorney had retired and transferred our files, with our permission, to another attorney – we decided it was time to update our documents. Our only problem was the attorney that had our files was no longer in practice. A diligent search for a new law firm was begun and after reviewing numerous firms and their reviews, my wife and I chose Georgia Wills, Trusts, & Probate Law Firm LLC. It was a good choice. One phone call, identifying what we wanted to accomplish; a “Zoom” meeting introducing Amanda Riedling, Partner, to confirm our goals and another to review and confirm the contents of the draft documents she had presented so the final documents could be created, followed by a meeting at the office to sign the final documents. Amanda was great to work as were the other members of her team. They made you feel “at home” from the first phone call through the signing and beyond.

My wife and I needed to revise our estate planning documents, because since our last documents were executed we had moved to Georgia, our adult daughter had become disabled, and the tax laws had changed. Allison was very knowledgeable and thoroughly explained the documents we would need. She also asked our preferences and offered suggestions on how to include them in our estate plan. When the drafts were provided to us, Allison took the time to explain each of the documents and answer our questions when the legal phrasing was somewhat unclear to us. She guided us through the Power of Attorney and Medical Directive drafts and explained the possible outcomes of the choices available to us. She also provided a cover letter which not only included a summary of our bequest preferences but also how best to achieve those preferences. Included with the cover letter were instructions on how to title ownership in our accounts and assets in Georgia so our preferences were more readily accomplished upon our demise and what title changes would be necessary when the first of us dies. Lastly, she suggested non-legal documents we may want to prepare to assist our executors, trustees, and beneficiaries in carrying out and explaining our final wishes. Allison is a very pleasant person with whom to work, and we highly recommend her.

I hired Keeley’s law firm to initially compose legal documentation to split my deceased father’s estate, as directed by the San Diego County Administrator. After research, Keeley informed me that in her legal opinion I was entitled to the entire estate. I was eventually awarded my fathers entire estate, valued at $1,000,000. We needed an attorney to review our elderly mother's estate planning documents, as they haven't been reviewed in almost 15 years. Allison, from the initial contact through the signing of new documents, was incredibly prompt in her responses, professional and extremely knowledgeable. She reviewed our paperwork at no cost, and then made some recommendations for us.
We hired Allison to draft a Power of Attorney and a new Health Care Directive, as the laws have changed quite a bit over the past 10 years or so.
The cost was very reasonable but more importantly, Allison's "bedside manner" with my mother was nothing short of fantastic. Sensitive to how this type of planning can affect some elderly people, Allison made it VERY easy for our mother to understand what she was signing and why. She showed compassion, understanding and above all, patience.
Without question, I would recommend this attorney (and her staff) to anyone who needs estate planning or really any planning for that matter where a lawyer that actually knows law, is needed.

We have been blessed to know attorney Scott Rogers of Peters Law Firm in Council Bluffs, Iowa, for more than 6 years. His guidance and compassion have been immeasurably valuable to us.
Our parents were reasonably independent and living in their own house, thanks to frequent visits, meal preparations, housework, errands, and facilitating trips to doctors by their daughter Jeannine who lived an hour away. Mom had Alzheimer’s disease, so Dad did his best to handle her medications. Our Dad was secretive about their financial affairs, so we had very limited knowledge about their powers of attorney, wills, investments, and preferences for potential future living arrangements.
Then at the end of 2014, Dad suffered his second broken hip from which he was never to fully recover. What had been some cognitive and memory problems collapsed into obvious dementia. He was always there for us as we decided on our parents’ future living arrangements, found the best skilled nursing care for them, pulled assets from their accounts to pay their bills, arranged for the sale of their house and cars, and prevented them from driving. As our Dad and then our Mom eventually passed away, Scott provided critical advice and guidance in handling their affairs. We also greatly appreciate Scott’s personal support, even to the extent of a funeral home visitation upon our Dad’s death.

My attorney and consigliare for 39years Preston Cain retired. I had a situation, I requested his honor to "set matters aside" on a guilty plea 2 weeks earlier. Ms. Simpson accepted the case on site, had a plan, did exactly what she said she would and I did what she asked of me. I don't do "maybe get" or "think I can" or "Dont think that's possible". As my council the lady is half a head above the rest and she doesn't even know it! I first hired Nikki Allen to get her help an issue concerning my father’s trust, of which I am a beneficiary. The trustee we had in place turned out to be engaged in illegal activity. Nikki quickly took control, had the trustee removed, and has been involved with me every step of the way since. There is no trust, real estate or probate matter that Nikki could not be an asset to. Working with Nikki on my father’s trust, made me realize that I needed to create a trust and redo the wills for my own family’s assets. Sara helped our family successfully navigate a difficult and divisive time at the end of my mother’s life. She is a consummate professional with a breadth of experience (I believe she’s seen it all!), knowledge, and understanding. Since my father had not left a will when he passed, what little I knew about estates was that I would need help with my father's. I contacted Sara by phone and we spoke briefly and set an appointment to speak in person. Sara was not the first attorney I spoke with but the first to interview with me. At the interview I explained why I needed her help, I also showed my limited knowledge of what was before me. By the end of the interview Sara agreed to help me through the probate process. In the following months Sara worked on my behalf with the court and advised me what was expected of me as the administer of the estate. Through the whole process there were times I felt overwhelmed with the "business" of settling his estate and sometimes became quite emotional over my personal loss. But, with kind words and a firm direction Sara kept me on track and focused. I guess that's why attorneys are called counselors. Finally, with Sara's continued support and guidance, things were at an end and the estate was dissolved. There are things that happen in life that happen to other people and you think, that's too bad. But when one of those things happens to you you think, how will I get through this. I don't know how things would have turned out with someone other than Sara, I don't need to think about it. Sara was the best possible attorney for me to have helping me with her hard work, her knowledge and experience and her empathy. I plan on having Sara help with my estate planning since having experienced this ordeal once, I do not want to leave something like this to my loved ones.
