I was arrested and released for wreckless driving driving home from work after another driver tboned me when they ran a red light. The Officer saw burnout marks and incorrectly assumed they were brake marks from my vehicle. Being quite upset about this incident, I searched for a laywer. First two I tried contacting didn't ever give me a call back but I was quickly reached out to by note and kidd. After meeting with Jacob Smith I decided to retain him as my attorney. Jake very helpful with any questions I had and was very easy to reach out too. Anytime I had to leave a message he was quick to reach back out to me. Jake worked well and was able to get the Charges against me dismissed and the case dropped. Without that looming over my head anymore I can finally move on past that. If I ever find myself in need of legal help again, he will be my first call. Very satisfied retaining Jake.

If you want justice for a loved one for medical malpractice, and wrongful death stay away from this law firm. They will only take your case if the victim and their family didn't sign any medical documents at the hospital. Not sure what planet they practice law on. What a waste of time.

Sometimes in life we find ourselves in situations that are completely out of character with ourselves. Needless to say 2 felonies 4 gross misdemeanors and at least 75k in fines and penalties. So very thankful to have found Mr. Dewey and having chose him as my representation in court. He helped me navigate a very serious situation at a time when I was at my lowest and as if I were on the verge of losing everything.
Mr. Dewey was an avid listener, he took in all aspects of my situation, asked clarifying questions, and ensured that he knew the full story prior to walking into my hearing. Additionally, he made himself available 24/7 and followed through with that commitment by taking some very late night 'panic-calls'. For each stage of the process, he set clear expectations of what the possible outcome could be and which he viewed as the most likely and the most desirable. He was super helpful through out the cases. Kept me informed and handled everything and anything related to the case and made sure my license was not suspended. This Law firm, specifically Graham Donath has literally save my life and given me at an advanced age , a new lease on life. I made a huge mistake, and arrested 10 yrs ago, sentanced to 9.2 yrs in prison for a felony ,, for a huge 7 figure plus financial crime, which should have been on the famous TV show….Graham Donath and his law firm, through his expertise and years of dealing with the judges in Riverside county, got my sentance reduced to 32 months., with a year being served at a Fire Camp.. At the advise of Mr Graham Donath I stayed clean for now 7 yrs and again , Graham Donath, went to the same court , and expunged my felony conviction, with the proper penal code, to a mere misdemeanor, and now I am able to get a great job , have a meaningful relationship, and the opportunity to get housing as a normal person, AND. We hired Sam to represent my son in a juvenile case, he was absolutely incredible to work with. From our first meeting, I knew he was our guy (he also came highly recommended by someone in Oakland County Courts), he is down to earth, knowledgeable, and tenacious. This is a hard review to write, because there is no way to put into words how grateful we are to Sam Bennett. He successfully defended our son, and ended a 10 year nightmare our family has been living. Our son was placed on the Tier I SOR for 15 years in 2013. I believe that if Sam Bennett had been his attorney, at that time, our son would have never been found guilty. As the judge stated, it was a convoluted case. Sam Bennett and his assistant, Rebecca Lashbrook, were amazing. They were professional, compassionate and reassuring. Even more important is the fact that Mr. Bennett was able to lift the suffocating weight off our backs for the first time since 2013. We could actually breathe and relax. Our son, and his son, can finally get on with their lives. Thank you Sam Bennett.

It will be Aaron Black.
Aaron was referred to me and my son through another attorney that had helped my son in a previous case. I was provided a couple names from this previous attorney, and as soon as we spoke with Aaron, I knew he was the one.
My son was facing class 3 felony charges with jail time and with Aaron’s diligence was able to reduce to a plea where he will earn a misdemeanor. The probation department was recommending Intensive Probation and Aaron was able to convince the judge that IP was not appropriate.
As the mother of the accused, Aaron was able to keep my “mother-bear” mind at ease. He is very easy to communicate with and doesn’t make you feel like less of a person because you have been accused of a crime. Aaron is a class-act attorney and a wonderful person.
Thank you, Aaron, for all that you have done to keep my son out of jail and to help steer him in the right direction.

My second time using Aaron’s services. I was looking at a super extreme, 45 days in jail and high fines. After Aaron took on my case he was able to find evidence the officer mistreated me, he filed a complaint with the professional standards bureau. When the prosecutors saw the letter they immediately reduced the case to a regular DUI. I only had to do a night in jail, possibly 6 months interlock, and reduced fines.

I found Aaron through AVVO and after reading his profile I knew that I would be contacting him immediately. He was able to get my super extreme DUI charge down to a regular DUI charge through finding evidentiary issues. He prepared me for court by providing resources for everything I would have to complete including alcohol screening, interlock device, and traffic school. My time in jail was reduced from 45 days to just 24 hours. If you find yourself facing criminal charges Aaron is the best lawyer to get the results you want. Not to mention he was reasonably priced!

Well..before covid I recently lost my wife to a horrible illness..I live in arkansas but from Michigan..I called shawn before the covid deal to help me with a bench warrant...he took it on..then all the courts shut down during that..recently I contacted shawn..I always kept his number..it took me days to find a attorney from Michigan who would help me since I live out of state before the covid deal..well..he was gonna help me again..I made some calls to Michigan before I contacted shawn to see how I could take care of my bench warrant out of state..I made so many calls I forgot who was who..so when shawn said he help me again..I started thinking if he said to turn my self in what would happen to my dog..I made my dog a service dog for depression I went through after my wife died..today.some place called me and I thought it was a place to help me out with my dog situation. I started talking about maybe I will have to turn my self in and such..and you think there are lawyers who really do pro Bono like in the movies..then when they said who they were actually are..I said ok..I'm good..cause you know I asked shawn to help me..so..later he calls and said he heard my name in court.im thinking huh?.I explained what I said..and I asked him are you still gonna help me..he said..no..I'm not gonna help you and just hung up on me..wow..I don't even know what I did wrong..maybe I should have asked him that about my service dog..I didn't know!!...all he said to me before he hung up was.and I quote (you got it all set). Like I waisted his time and that was never my intention..he is a nice lawyer. Dont get me wrong..just..that threw me for a loop..now I have to go at this with no legal representation..I was recommended to call him back in 2020..but..it is what it is..I guess I should have never talked to that person..he would still be helping me..but..hey..I messed up I guess..but he will help you..just make sure . * Randy Collins is a threat, not the solution. *
I cannot stress enough how awful my experience was with Randy Collins as my attorney. Despite boasting about his experience with federal cases, my new attorney confirmed that Collins had never actually tried one. Before becoming a defense attorney, Collins worked as a prosecutor, and it seemed to me that he transitioned to defense work to make more money with less responsibility, credibility, and actual stress. His previous experience as a prosecutor made me feel like he was prosecuting me instead of defending me.
He was dishonest, disrespectful, and arrogant, showing zero regard for me as his client. Worse yet, he spent no meaningful time on my case, revealing his complete incompetence.
I paid Collins thousands of dollars upfront to cover the pre-trial process, but after just a few short meetings, it became clear to me that he spent little to no time on my case outside of our meetings. He was completely disengaged, making assumptions without asking for essential facts or details about my business. He jumped to unrelated conclusions, and I had to force him to listen to my version of events and the critical details of my situation, which he frequently dismissed.
During our last meeting, my wife, who was pregnant at the time, felt intense anxiety and fear after we were told that if I didn’t follow their advice, she could also be implicated in the sentencing. This created an extreme and distressing environment for both of us.
One of the most absurd suggestions I received during our meetings was for me to claim mental illness as part of the defense strategy. I found it completely inappropriate and disconnected from the facts of my case. If I hadn’t fired him, I believe I could have ended up in prison due to his mishandling of my defense.
Despite this, Collins refused to refund any of my money after I fired him. When I requested a refund, he sent me a ledger claiming he had already spent the time I paid for. However, based on his disengaged approach and the short timeframe, it was clear he hadn’t done the work he claimed.
This isn’t my first attempt to post a review. After I posted my initial review, I was bombarded by messages and phone calls from Randy and his associates, urging me to resolve the issue “amicably.” I felt intimidated by this and removed my review. Only after consulting with legal professionals did I feel confident enough to voice my strong opinion, based on my factual experience—including my wife, who was scared for me to continue trusting Randy.
If you're looking for an attorney who genuinely cares about his clients and has the experience and competence to back it up, steer clear of Randy Collins. He is an absolute disaster who will only bring you more trouble and stress in the long run.

When you feel a Public Defender is not the answer to your problems. I asked myself, "who do I turn to"? Well, while thumbing through an endless amount of options I stumbled on Law Office of William V. Pernik. I was quickly invited in for a consultation. Almost immediately I felt the passion for my concerns regarding my case. The District Attorney (D.A) was trying to brand me with a criminal charge that I knew did not fit. The D.A. would not budge or listen to people or facts of my case. I was just a case # to them, they treated me as if I was not human. The Law Office of William V. Pernik very much understood my feelings, emotions, anxieties, and my fears. I chose Pernik. Mr. Pernik assigned a lawyer by the name of Mr. Ercolano to my case. At first glance, I was taken off guard. Before me, I saw a sharp dressed baby faced attorney. I was a bit puzzled. However, I was taught never judge by its cover. So together we rolled up our sleeves and went to work. The D.A. would stay firm on the decision to charge me, it did not matter the evidence in my favor. It was heartbreaking.
