Jason was great to work with on my sexual harassment case. He was extremely patient with the entire process as the legal system is notoriously slow. He always explained things when I had questions and was constantly staying updated on all case law to see what new rulings became available that could potentially help us throughout the process. I hired Attorney Schofield to take over my case from another attorney. I was so beaten down when I finally found Mr Schofield, but he managed to restore my faith in (some of) the legal industry. I was amazed and so relieved at his integrity, expert negotiating, consistent communications, and follow up. He quickly got the best possible results for me in only a couple months after 2 years of previous delays, critical missed filing deadlines, gaslighting, huge retainer fee, fee shifting, and case abandonment by another.
Mr Schofield's assistant is perfectly in sync with him and keeps things running efficiently with her professional and thorough communications. What a great team!
It is very important to deeply research whom you hire - and be sure they don't farm out your case. Check into disciplinary actions and complaints at the Florida Bar and other websites, search online reviews, contact other clients, and review case files. Become familiar with the Rules of Professional Conduct and know your client rights and grounds for malpractice. Hiring the wrong attorney can be very costly and emotionally devastating - at a time when you can afford neither.
Hire Mr Schofield from the start and avoid a lot of needless suffering and expense.

I hired Julie to appeal the decision that the unemployment department had made. Julie was excellent and spent many hours talking me through the appeal process and the court hearing. Julie is kind, generous, dedicated, and a great attorney! She even went above and beyond and warned my previous employer of defamation. If you've been sexually harassed or discriminated against in the workplace... I seriously can't recommend Steven Arenson enough! Yes, it actually feels good to have a worthy credit profile. I want to use this time to appreciate PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST for bringing me out of a bad credit report that made my life miserable. 6 years ago I had perfect credit but my life spiralled out of control and was left with 50k debt. I had no way of paying for it at that time. I have been rebuilding my life for the past few months and need to fix my credit. I had 50k debt combined. 6 closed accounts with "negative pay status" "Charged off as bad debt". 550 credit score. I paid 2 of the 6 accounts off recently but the remarks are still there and nothing about my status changed on said accounts. PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST came through for me, with all negative entries removed; charge offs, late payments wiped out including closed accounts all cleared from my report and my score is now 804. I got approved for a Capital one credit card with a $10,000 limit and have been pre-approved for another $30,000 limit. I highly recommend Vanessa and Dolan Law Firm. After being injured on my bike and hospitalized by a careless motorist, my expectations for any kind of justice or settlement were low because I did not have the motorist’s name or information. Despite not having high hopes, I filled out Dolan’s intake web portal with the details of my injury event. After some phone conversations, I met with Emile Davis at their Oakland office (this was prior to Vanessa joining their team) to discuss the accident, and Emile walked me through the different scenarios and outcomes I could expect, which was very helpful and informative for me as someone who had never taken any previous legal action. Vanessa connected with me soon after she joined the Dolan Law team, and she was professional and clear about how she was going to move my case along. After my medical treatments concluded, Vanessa worked to put together a strongly documented and effective case and kept me informed the whole time. Vanessa’s willingness and commitment to my case was reassuring for me, especially considering the fact that at that point some time had passed and we had still not yet managed to track down the motorist who had injured me, and my hopes for a just resolution were dwindling. I was later incredibly relieved when Vanessa and the Dolan Law team succeeded in finding the motorist’s identity and then brought the necessary documentation and paperwork to the company that the motorist had been driving for. I was later awarded a settlement amount that was significantly more than I had realistically expected. I have no experience with other law firms, but I can say in summary that Vanessa and the Dolan Law team were responsive, committed and transparent with me from beginning to end, and I got a much better outcome than I had anticipated.

I am a senior woman in my company and was being forced out of the firm for unclear reasons -- and being treated unfairly, to say the least. Another employment lawyer I know socially recommended Supreeta to me, and she was a godsend in an otherwise completely awful few weeks. I called her with an immediate ask, and she was able to squeeze me in, advise me of my options, and work on my separation agreement (quick turns), all in the span of 2-3 days. Choosing a lawyer with or without a referral is risky, and reviews can be misleading.
When I Ianded in Steve Glickman's office over a decade ago, cold and without a recommendation, I took the kind of chance that I wouldn't recommend to anyone. I got lucky....because of Steve's character. YES, he has deep knowledge, years of experience, and is attentive. Aside from that, Steve has repeatedly proven that he can be trusted. He has unwavering ethics and integrity. At vulnerable points in time, we often can't see through the fog. In retrospect, the empathy and emotional intelligence he applied, that I didn't even realize at the time, is striking. Things could've been a disaster absent his guidance.

I met with Steve a couple of years ago and I have been working with him since then on various employment issues. When I met with him, I had few employees who left the companies that I own, and they were conspiring and determined to sabotage my businesses. Mr. Glickman understood the complexity of the situation very well, and was able to break them away very easily and dissolved their bad intensions.

But what I did not expect to encounter in this relationship, what I truly appreciate and am most deeply impacted by - is her genuine integrity, humanity and compassion. My discussion with Ari Karpf was nothing but eye opening and extremely informative on the situation I was subject to by my employer. He is a very quick learner and after hearing the quick details of my situation gave me the confidence that he would go to bat for me and ensure that my employer would have no choice but to be fair to me. I am averse to conflict, and as Ari understood this he helped me through the options I could use for communication with my employer that met my needs. I recently had an opportunity to work with Ari regarding an adverse employment situation with a public university in Pennsylvania. There are so many things that stand out from my meetings with him.
1) Following my call to his firm, he initially contacted me on a Sunday which worked great for my schedule - I loved his availability.
2) He was personally invested in the assessment of my situation and did a great job asking questions about the circumstances of my case without giving false hope about the strength of my case. He was matter-of-fact and specific.
3) He took incredibly copious notes. About a month passed between my initial phone call with him and me ultimately hiring Ari to assist in navigating my situation. When we met for the second time, I was amazed at the thoroughness and recollection of the details of my case and we were able to get right into the heart of the decision making about how to move forward. And once I hired him we met almost immediately. There was no dust gathering as I worried about my situation. He was action oriented with the goal of moving to resolution.

I hired a contractor to complete a large amount of work on my fixer-upper house I had purchased, which was also my first home purchase. The contractor I hired not only butchered the work he was performing, but he was further damaging my home, and did not even pass any inspections with my county! We had a contract signed for around $43,000. I called him over to discuss my concerns with his work, and he walked out on me! I ultimately terminated him due to his unprofessionalism and poor work. He filed a lien on my home so no other contractor or myself could touch it to continue the work on my home, and I couldn’t sell it considering! I contacted John, and John was cool, calm and collected the entire time since day 1, assuring me he know EXACTLY what to do! HE SURE DID! This was my first time ever needing to hire a lawyer, and he did not disappoint! He was very quick and got right to the nitty gritty of what needed to be done! I approached Phil regarding my equal pay and discrimination case against a large corporation, after I had a prior conversation with another firm. Because of that, I had a general idea of what were the possible legal venues available in my situation.
Phil laid out similar options. Unlike the other firm, I felt that Phil was more confident and had more experience in dealing with large corporations that have a very robust legal team and a strong process to deny any wrong doing. Phil was very professional (a bit cold), but I felt it was appropriate for his role.
I felt that I had a very strong case and plenty of supporting documentation. After listening attentively to my situation, Phil put a very detailed demand letter together, laying out the events and including eloquently the laws governing the situation. After a lengthy process, while the company investigated the events, they came back with a very low-ball settlement offer. Phil was instrumental in negotiating a deal and listening to my concerns.
It is unfortunate that it is legal for companies to force employees into Arbitration Agreements as a condition of employment and basically force employees into forfeiting their legal rights. Because of that, I don’t feel that the law was enforced, however I do feel that Phil did a good job of listening to my concerns (while keeping an impartial stance) and he did a good job representing me and negotiating in my behalf. While the desired outcome for me would have been fairness and change in the illegal practices displayed by some of the leaders of the corporation, a settlement was reached. As everyone treated unfairly knows, money does not substitute fairness, but it’s what the corporations prefer to offer, instead of accepting responsibility and implementing change.
