I've struggled with whether to write a review or not. I don't like writing negative reviews but I think this is fair and accurate. I found Mr Martin via his positive google reviews in late 2018, and used his services for a difficult custody situation with my ex. In the beginning things seemed good; personally I liked him and we had some things in common. He was very responsive to my questions. As time went on, I got the feeling that he was playing "defense"; not pursuing things I thought should be pursued. But in my eyes he was the expert, so I relented and followed his lead. My ex and I would up in mediation and I wound up signing an agreement that I NEVER should have signed. In fairness to Mr Martin, I was ultimately the one who approved the agreement (after a long, emotional, tiring, and expensive day of negotiation). Based on my frustrations Mr Martin suggested I do something I NEVER should have done. The following day, I told him I didn't like the agreement but he said it would be "virtually impossible" to change. The day of court, I asked what would happen if I said I didn't agree to the agreement. Mt Martin said I'd likely be thrown out of court and have to pay my Ex's attorney fees...so I stood there and painfully stated that I agreed to everything in this agreement - which I did not...but I felt I had no choice. Since then, I've regretted not speaking out every day of my life. I have been told by two attorneys that the agreement is the worst they've seen. Now I am paying another attorney to "undo" what this agreement did. I want to be fair to Mr Martin - I take full responsibility for agreeing to the agreement, but I feel my best interests were not important we ironically "lost" the case, which I felt he was simply "trying not to lose". I would recommend if you have a difficult child custody situation, you explore all options available. Most importantly, understand YOU are your best advocate. Don't ever agree to anything you're not positive is in your best interest. If you don't feel good about how mediation is going, and don't think you can come to a fair agreement, you can leave.

Recommended David to represent my mom in a divorce. He didn’t fight for her at all and upon his termination as her lawyer, didn’t send all the documents to her new lawyer. Waste of six months and way too much money.

David and Saleana did a great job at handling my legal issues. Not only did he help me at every turn, but he showed me how to minimize my costs near the end.
