I recently purchased my first home and Scott Umstead and his entire staff were professional and kind and just as excited as I was from start to finish! They did not hesitate to answer ALL of my many "silly to me" questions and never made me feel foolish for asking. I will have the pleasure of dealing with a different area of his staff as I am returning to Scott soon for help with my estate planning. I highly recommend this office to anyone who wants a lawyer that will look out for them!! Thank you Scott and staff!!

We recently purchased a home in SC and were referred to Scott Umstead and his team for our closing. Alyssa was our contact throughout the process and she was incredibly prompt on all correspondence. Alyssa provided us with all the necessary information on closing expectations in SC, as we were living in New England and purchasing in a new state, while out of state, was a bit nerve wracking. During our closing, Scott Umstead was very thorough, explaining the closing paperwork, especially in regards to our rights as new South Carolina residents. His calm approach, made us feel as though we could have sat in the office for hours. South Carolina is very laid back, friendly and welcoming, and Scott Umstead and his staff, are proof of this. It was an added benefit to meet Joe. We will absolutely be seeking the services of Scott Umstead office for further legal needs.

We moved to Myrtle Beach from Vermont and our realtor referred us to Scott. Our only communication with Scott was through Alyssa via email until our closing. When we met Scott the day of our closing he was both professional and made us feel very comfortable. He went through our documents thoroughly and chatted with us as well.
