Our experience with Scott Umstead and his team (Dawn!) for our recent real estate transaction and closing exceeded any and all expectations we had! And it wasn’t just because we received clear and highly responsive communication throughout the process. The email response was immediate and they responded patiently to our countless questions! When we attended our closing we felt as though we had been invited into somebody’s home. It was personal and comfortable and we couldn’t have felt more immediately confident about who was handling our affairs. Scott also took extra time without solicitation to explain several situations to us in detail as he saw how they might benefit us. If you want skill, kindness, humor, professionalism and to actually enjoy sitting at a table signing a pile of documents, look no further than Scott Umstead and his team! It had been 26 years since I did an "in office closing." My last purchase was handled by the office of Scott B. Umstead, PA two and a half years ago, by mail and wire transfer. I'm not sure what I was expecting with this most recent closing, but what I received was a seamless closing, expertly prepared and handled by Scott Umstead personally. I had just assumed the paralegals with whom I had several email exchanges and phone conversations would handle the closing, but I was told, that no, Mr. Umstead handles the final process for each closing in his office. The personal touch was unexpected and gratefully received. Attorney Umstead put me at ease immediately and explained every step of the process in plain English. What a relief, right? Besides being a first class lawyer who cares about his clients, Scott is a genuinely nice man. So to say that the entire experience was a win-win is an understatement. My only regret is that the entire process took no more than 30 minutes. I would have gladly stayed and enjoyed the lovely conference room and chatted with Scott and his staff for half the morning.

What an awesome crew to work with. The decor is upscale and sooo snazzy. The best was having "Joe " involved with my closing and at the end having a loving wet kiss on my cheek! Thank you all for all your help! THANK YOU SCOTT. :)

We live in Maryland and this was an out-of-state transaction. I highly recommend the law office of Scott Umstead for any real estate closing transaction in Myrtle Beach. Scott’s staff was a pleasure. Alyssa and Leighann responded to all my questions in a timely manner, most of the time within the hour. On the date of the closing, all documents were well prepared. The closing took fifteen minutes. I have been involved in several real estate transactions and this was the smoothest settlement by far. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Let me start first with the decor❤️ When you enter an attorney’s office and they have a book about Bob Dylan in the lobby you know you are in the right place! Seriously, the decor was very modern and inviting. The staff was so friendly! The entire process went so smooth. If you are looking for a real estate attorney look no further! We went here to sign the closing documents on our first house. I went in expecting it to take a while to read all the papers before signing them, but Scott gave each page a very good description so we knew exactly what all was included in the documents. We left the office more confident about the whole process due to his knowledge and his ability to explain everything in understandable terms. Scott and his staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend.
