I was on the sell side of a Vacation Home Transaction that went under contract in late September 2018 and closed on time 11/1/2018. I was very impressed with every employee there who touched me or the file. Debbie, Crystal & Scott. As a retired mortgage loan originator, I have been involved in over 20,000 residential closings and picked up right away that this place was a class act. Great Communication, Organization, Attitude. They have a set routine of lists and stop points that would make closing a pleasant experience for virtually anyone. They made a point of pointing our wire fraud risk and ID Theft Risk. I knew to be on my guard from past experience but they kept me on my toes. We did witness an actual Phishing attempt right at funding. Settlement Agents often are held accountable for things out of their control. We had an issue with an overnight package being a 2-day delivery. Debbie stayed calm and we worked together to make up the lost time elsewhere. As I lender, I often stated that when it came to settlement agents, "you are only as good as your last referral." If I were doing loans full time again in MB, they would be my go to firm.

We have bought, refinanced, and sold numerous real estate holdings over the years and the experience with Scott's staff, especially Debbie Rose, was by far the best experience we ever had. Debbie kept us informed, made sure all documents were accurate, and our closing went off without a hitch. We didn't even attend in person - Debbie had everything together and mailed the closing documents. We followed her simple instructions and returned them the following day. If we ever engage in another real estate transaction, we will contract with Scott again. We highly recommend them for your real estate needs.

Mr. Umstead and his team were great. Liked his friendly office (he must love red) You can take a walk down the hall through Google maps which is cool. I especially loved his dog being in the office with us.

We didn't have a slam dunk closing, as in the 11th hour seller didn't want to sell. Without all the details, Scott let the seller know we meant business and we closed 2 days later. Thank you Scott! My husband and I recently purchased a new home and this is the second time we have used Scott Umstead and his team for our closing! It was a truly wonderful experience! The closing was an extremely complicated situation trying to coordinate all the details between all the buyers and sellers involved, but the Umstead team was extremely efficient and effective in their approach and were able to get us to close on time! Even when the bank made a mistake and another law firm involved dropped the ball, the Umstead team picked up the slack without hesitation and we were able to keep moving forward on time. Very grateful for their hardworking and kind team- cannot believe we were actually able to buy, sell and close in 30 days! Thanks Scott!
