If you are involved in any family law case, and you care about your kids, DO NOT HIRE THIS ATTORNEY! I am only giving him one star because it makes me. Hire someone younger who has the ability to remember key details about your case. Hire someone who is not POLITICALLY CURRUPT with the county's judicial system. I will say that I hired Mr. Potter for a case that was ongoing, and I had a lawyer previously. Mr. Potter did tell me that he does not like to take cases that he didn't know the case in its entirety. Maybe that was my mistake for allowing him to make an exception, maybe it was his. I called him multiple times and when I would call he would send an automated message asking me to text him because he was in court. I would text him and give him a week, with no response. I would email him multiple questions (because I know these lawyers charge per email) and he would only respond to one question, forcing me to send more and more emails. Finally, I got tired of that and went to his office. He said that he wouldn't see me because I didn't have an appointment. So, I set up an appointment for rule 35 and a motion to continue therapy for my daughter. Mr. Potter continued to say in the meeting "Well, I don't think the judge will approve a rule 35". When I explained to him that he works for me, he said "No, I decide what we file and don't file". HE DID NOT WANT TO FILE THE MOTION BECAUSE HE THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO LOSE. Finally, after an hour and a half of pleading with this man to file the motions, he had his paralegal call my wife and discuss the two motions. AFTER my wife discussed these motions with Lauren, who is his paralegal, and she drafted the two motions. Mr. Potter filed, letting the opposing attorney, Travis Meeks, know he filed them. Here is the best part. I specifically told my lawyer I would not accept anything less than primary custody. Travis Meeks and his client Claudia Jones attempted to settle. Claudia wanted to remain the primary parent, I keep my weekends with the kids, and also take every Wednesday with the kids. My youngest daughter has been diagnosed with an adjustment disorder from their mom moving them around so much. They have been to multiple new schools, in and out of different men's homes, multiple babysitters, and the list goes on and on. Because of this, it was not in her best interest to be at her mom's house for two days, my house for a day, and then back to her mom's house. Now, here Mr. Potter did actually try to help, this is where the problems with his assistant came in. Travis Meeks sent the settlement letter and my wife spoke to Mr. Potter about the concerns. He told her he understood and to draft up a counterproposal. I'm going to assume he and his assistant never spoke because every single time I spoke with her it was either "I don't know" or "I haven't spoken to Mr. Potter yet". So, I wrote up the counterproposal and sent it to him. A few days go by, and I hear nothing back. My wife called his assistant Kristina, and she told my wife "You were not supposed to write a counterproposal, it was a simple yes or no. If your husband does not want more time with the kids, then that's fine". Yet, Claudia Jones gives me HER BIOLOGICAL daughter to raise ALL THE TIME. When I finally decided to let Mr. Potter go, I get a bill for $1450 for that meeting. He never once told me I was over my retainer. In addition, I had also asked Mr. Potter to file a contempt motion. His exact words every time were "The judge won't hear that until he final trial". The motion for contempt was because Claudia Jones took away my spring break with my daughter. I filed a contempt motion the day I agreed in court to let Mr. Potter go, and Claudia Jones now has to give me that ten days AND BE HELD IN CRIMINAL CONTEMPT. He continued to ask what happened at mediation, the mediation we never had because the judge waived it. He also told me that Travis Meeks told him Claudia Jones stinks. So, these attorneys are talking about you behind your back. His paralegal LAUREN IS AWESOME!!!!

I was going to use them as a lawyer, because I heard nothing but good things but their secretary is super rude. When you need a lawyer you call in because you are in a vulnerable state, in a time of need. I called scared, worried and all she did was correct me, talk over me, tell me to do what I had already done even though if she'd have just listened to me she'd have known I'm already past that step because she lacks listening skills. I called because I needed a lawyer.. not to be schooled or talked down to.

Crystal is very knowledgeable and professional. I wouldn't have known where to start with my case without her. She takes her time and interacts with your experience followed by sound advice. I would not hesitate to send any of my family and friends to her services.

Absolute pit bull when it comes to cases he takes on. He goes to the moon and beyond to make sure his clients are taken care of. He explains the entire process and gives you plenty of opportunities to ask questions and know that your voice will be heard. Could not have asked for a better man and attorney to take on my partners case. It was drawn out but it was worth every second. Mr Potter was extremely easy to talk to, very thorough and him, his assistant and paralegal were always responsive. Not only did he take on this case but he is also handling another case for me.

Crystal failed to communicate regarding my case after I hired her. She did not notify me of reset court dates or provide billing details. Please don't make the mistake in hiring her.
