On June 12,2024 while using the community gas grill at my apartment complex. The grill exploded in my face with a fireball of over six feet in diameter. I felt the flames and intense heat burn my left arm and face. I could hear my hair was on fire and I ran to the pool to extinguish it. My neighbor Dennis was in the pool and heard the explosion. He came to my side to assist me. I was then contacted by apartment complex manager if I was ok and I stated no. The grill just blew up in my face. I asked her for ice and assistance. She helped me with those requests. Pasco County EMS arrived on the scene and render emergency care to myself. I was then transported to Advent Care Hospittal in Wesley Chapel. I was treated and relea sed after 3- 4 hours to my wife. My injuries were listed as 1st, 2nd degree burns to my left arm and head / face. I was contacted by Pasco County Fire inspector in the ambulance and at the hospital. He photographed the scene and my injuries giving me the case number. I have not recieved the report yet. The grills are still not in service to this date.
