The Apperson Crump team has been amazing to work with. They were friendly, fast, and very responsive. They gave exceptional care when handling my closing. They communicated every step of the way and always ensured I knew where we were in the closing process at all times. The team that assisted with my closing were incredibly personable, professional, and the attorney who assisted me with the signing took their time to ensure I fully understood everything I was signing. He even offered me advice considering this is my first home buying experience! They even took photos after the closing to ensure I remembered the day I bought my first home. They truly made me feel like I was not just another client but that they cared about me from start to finish. Highly recommend using Apperson Crump for your real estate needs. As a transaction coordinator I work with a lot of different title companies. Apperson is definitely one of my favorites. Most recently I worked w/Ashley. She was fabulous. Very responsive and we worked together to get a tougher filed closed. Would absolutely recommend.

On May 5th, 2021, I purchased property utilizing the services of Mike Fearnly and Apperson Crump PLC. The agent that closed our transaction was Mike Fearnly. Keep in mind, Tennessee is a full disclosure state. Mike Fearnly and Apperson Crump PLC allowed the sale of a property without properly doing their due diligence. I was allowed to purchase a home that according to the "Notice Of Quarantine" which prohibited the property to be inhabited. A hazardous lien was placed on the property by the county due to the home being used to manufacture Meth (Methamphetamines). Whether intentional or not, it does not excuse their actions was never disclosed to my business which is alarming. Their negligence has jeopardized the health and financial well being of my family, friends and co tractors.
Since this information has come to light, we've suffered losses in the form of lost rents, other home renovations, and other investment opportunities. Not being able to refinance, rent, or sell my property has severely impacted my business.
I would strongly take this as a warning when conducting business with Amperson Crump. I feel betrayed to be honest. I put my trust in them to execute the sale and ensure the property is being transfered with clear title. The Notice Of Quarantine was discovered at the beginning of the sale, clearly raising red flags and they still proceeded with the sale. They have ruined thr home buying process for me and I wouldn't trust them to handle any transactions in the future.

Apperson Crump PLC ("Apperson") and its representative Mike Fearnly were closing agents on the transaction of the purchase of our house at 3270 Scenic Hwy, Memphis TN 38128, on May 5, 2022. Mike Fearnley and Apperson had a fiduciary duty to ensure that certain conditions of closing were timely and fully met. Instead, Mike Fearnley and Apperson negligently allowed the sale of the property by intentionally withholding information from us that there was a current hazardous materials lien on the property because this property had been used to manufacture Methamphetamine ("Meth"). Upon seeking to refinance the loan, we were denied by Avalon Capital on the bases that (1) the property had been used as a Meth lab; (2) the City had declared it uninhabitable; and (3) a hazardous materials lien was in effect on the property. Consequently, we have been prevented from making the much-needed repairs and improvements to the house which has directly contributed to further deterioration of our property. This will require yet-determined additional funds to cure. I would have given them a lower rating if it were possible!

I purchased an investment property through my group with the intention of earning more money towards my retirement. What transpired has been anything short of a nightmare. My group was recently informed that the house was sold with a Notice of Quarantine attached to the property. And to make matters worst, it test positive for hazardous materials associated with a meth lab.The property was registered on the TDEC list, which is a list containing homes that were used as Meth labs and deemed uninhabitable. However, Apperson Crump neglected to pay attention to all the red flags and still proceeded with the sale of the home. This has crippled me financially, because my savings that I used to secure this deal is in limbo. I'm deeply saddened and upset with Apperson, because if they did their due diligence, our interest would have been protected.
