Let me start off this review by saying my first experience with a different attorney from Martin, Heller, Potempa & Sheppard, PLLC was amazing. Unfortunately, my experience using Adam Barber was a complete nightmare. He dropped the ball on several occasions. To begin with, he forgot about my case for several months, then sent out correspondents with spelling errors and inconsistencies and made things much more confusing and expensive than necessary. In the end, I had to move my case to another attorney. Overall, based on my experience, I do not recommend using Adam Barber as a probate attorney.

Highly recommend this firm. They have a full staff of paralegals and associate attorneys for digging up discovery and facilitating tasks and correspondence. Matt Potempa was my attorney, and he was excellent. He was very professional while also sympathetic of my situation. He worked with me on a very complicated case that most attorneys would not have bothered to take. The team was competent and efficient. I received solidly good legal advice, and am very happy with the outcome. Additionally, I would not attach a lawyer joke to Matt Potempa as I found him quite humane.

Mr Potempa and Mr Hausman took my case 15 months ago and Mr Hausman could not keep his facts straight. I’ve paid them almost $11,000 to gain absolutely nothing. Mr Hausman cost me 15 months of valuable time and money by arguing with me under a false premise that my opponents fed him and he didn’t even bother to confirm. When I tried to bring attention to that and discuss my billing, Mr Potempa decided he did not want to discuss it so he left me high and dry just yesterday with no notice and no representation at a crucial time in our case. Very very arrogant man. His way or no way. Be warned people.. many, many unethical attorneys out there who could care less for you or your cause. Just their own pockets.

Sean Martin is wonderful to work with. He has helped me several times and made hard situations easier. I won’t use anyone else for legal representation. I highly recommend this firm!

I've spent a significant amount of time interviewing estate attorneys looking for ones that understand their important role in overall risk management strategy for clients and MHPS is easily a favorite because of their expertise. Unlike many generalist attorneys, Dave Heller is on another level of expertise. He has been instrumental in explaining and teaching me his thoughts and techniques for estate planning. He's always helpful in discussing ideas and strategies for my clients. Very few attorneys I've met with can do this and understand its importance in asset protection for clients. I've also known Matt Potempa as a friend for over 20 years and before he went to law school. While I haven't needed his expertise for disputing an estate, I'm more than confident in his abilities. I've always respected him as a smart guy and with his niche focus, I would recommend him without hesitation.
