If I could put 0 stars I would! We started in the local office, did the consultation, then meeting where we took everything required...they said we were good to go for ch 7 & all we had left was the final step to do the credit counseling & file, which would be about 4 hrs at the office. We were trying to file ASAP & they said they could actually send us to the larger office in Nashville to get in sooner for that final appt. My husband went there, was there for 6 hrs, did EVERYTHING! Only to be told after that entire time that we couldn't file, he made a couple hundred too much. This should've been addressed in one or both of the first two meetings before it even got this far. So he was advised to increase his taxes that are taken out to make his check lower. We've done this for 2 months. During this time the attorney also told us ch 13 was always an option & ,could be done immediately. So we eventually decided on this instead of keep struggling more. We advised the attorney we would go ahead & do ch 13, he said ok, he would get everything together. Two days later he called to say he can't help us after all since we're in another county!! So...3 months wasted!! & at this point we had also been advised to quit paying bills so we have collectors on us like crazy & got served a civil warrant to go to court for one of them. We had also already paid, so when he informed us he couldn't help us, he said we will get a check in the mail by the beginning of the next week. Now it's been 2 weeks & we still ain't got our money back!! & the attorney avoids phone calls any time you try calling! It took me getting an attitude to actually get someone to put him on the phone with me once. I'm beyond pissed!! Worst experience! Will NEVER recommend them!! Nor the attorney Ryan Lloyd of the Nashville office!!

I had a real good experience with them. They even worked with us when my husband's job lowered his pay due to economy, it was a hard, long 5 years but we did it and I really understand how to manage money now. Thanks Clark & Washington.

It has been a true pleasure working with you! Your company is absolutely awesome! Thank you for all your assistance and persistence with my case. I do not mean to be so discrete, but it's really hard for me to put my personal issues out there. Something deep down told me to write this review. I'm guess the need to show my gratitude towards your firm. It's the least I could do for your company.

I didn't want to file but its getting harder and harder to find work that pays around here. I've actually decided to move from Nashville in order to find work. Filing bankruptcy is one of the last things I'm doing here to tie up some lose ends. I hired clark and washington after a former boss of mine recommended them. They weren't the only firm I met with, but they seemed like they were most involved in doing bankruptcies and I found that bankruptcy was the only thing they did. I felt that the best lawyer to do my case would be someone who focused on it. So far, my choice has paid off. I've had to send them a few things that the court needs but other than that, I've been able to take care of getting ready for the move and they've been handing things on their end. I feel that they were fairly priced. I got lower quotes, but the lawyers that quoted me lower fees all seemed to practice other laws and bankrutpcy just seemed like something that they were trying, but not really old pros at.

Allowing this firm to handle my Chapter 13 is one of the worst mistakes of my life. After learning about the impending foreclosure on my home I took quick action to save my home, vehicle, and belongings. Unfortunately I did not have the luxury of time before I chose someone to represent me. Went in for the initial appointment and felt relived that I was able to get my Chapter 13 underway and save my life. Little did I know that the people I tasked with saving my life were duller than a butter knife. It first started when I received a notice from my loan holder for my vehicle that it was scheduled to be repo'd. I contacted them and they said they never received a notice I was in a Chapter 13. Called Clark & Washington and they assured me it would be taken care of. A matter of weeks later I received another letter informing me that my home was due to go to auction. Again I called these lawyers and was given the run around and had to speak with an Office Manager that had no clue what was going on. The lawyers used him as a mouth piece and avoided me at all costs. I then found out my home had already been sold and the spiral began even deeper. I was then told that the needed paperwork was never sent to stop the sell of my home and I was indeed about to lose my home. Finally after 2 months I spoke with an actual lawyer who admitted they bungled my case, I would lose my home, BUT lucky old me would receive $7500 to ease my pain after I signed off on the whole bungle. They knew they had me and I couldn't sue since I was broke and needed some type of money to afford somewhere for me and my family to live. Now I'm on the hook for this Chapter 13 just for a car and credit card that I could've afforded without a Chapter 13. Had I knew I was going to lose my home regardless I could've just continued payment on them, release the home, and had money to find a new home and kept some of my dignity in the process. Now whenever I call them I get the run around and am treated like a bum by my own lawyer. I would avoid this firm at all costs in my experience.
