I cannot say enough about this law firm and the amazing people that work there!!! I needed an attorney last minute and Russell agreed to take my case.. He and his team immediately went into action and kept on fighting for me until the case was finally dismissed!!! I’d recommend Russell Lorfing and his team to absolutely everyone!!!! Where do I start? This was my 2nd false arrest, by an officer who used to work for me and had to be reprimanded numerous times for unprofessional behavior. His name is Steve Risinger. I immediately went looking for Joel Wilks who is one of the best attorneys in this state. Coincidentally enough he was forced to prosecute me on my first false arrest where the Taylor County District Attorney, James Hicks, and Officer Carye Adkins was ultimately caught lying on video conspired to have me arrested to shut down Preying on Predators. Joel was the one who found the evidence that APD attempted to hide from the start. Even the Texas Rangers said there was no criminal offense. That didn’t stop Hicks from lying to a grand jury and misleading them. Ultimately the integrity of Joel Wilks and tenacity to find the truth helped me out of the very charges he was being forced to prosecute me on. So naturally I needed his help to defend me on this charge. After he observed the officer’s body cam it was clear I didn’t violate the law I was arrested for. Full transparency I was very disorderly so I won’t and can’t deny that. APD again failed to produce evidence that would exonerate me so Joel was ready to go on the attack when the District Attorney’s office felt it was better to dismiss the charge and have me accept a disorderly conduct ticket for which I was truly guilty and had no inclination to deny since right is right after all. Thank you to the Keith & Lorfing Law Firm, especially Joel Wilks and Wendi Pearson for helping me get treated fairly in the end. Their office is absolutely the best and actually communicate with you! Joel was a great Assistant District Attorney for Taylor County. I have the inside information of why he is no longer there. Hicks views Joel as a major threat to his re-election and used his typical dirty underhanded tactics to push him out. Thankfully Joel is still in Taylor County making sure the citizens get fair treatment! Joel is what Taylor County needs as a District Attorney in Taylor County. That office is in shambles and being ran by an elderly toddler who can’t control his temper and uses the office in a most disrespectful way. The Taylor County DA must be a man of integrity and who is truly unbiased. The DA must not be allowed to use the office to settle personal agendas or to protect his “special” friends. Remember when the time comes to vote for Joel Wilks and man of true integrity!
