Devin defended us in a federal and state employment dispute that could have costs up mid-six-figures. He was clear that it would not be a fast process but that he'd give us the best defense possible. Devin is incredible! We had a partnership with 24 members that needed to be dissolved and absorbed into two new companies, a series LLC and a C corp. He educated us all through the process and took care of everything. Best of all, he came to us. I got Devin's contact information from a friend who highly recommended him. My company has 11 employees and, depending on the time of year, between 5 and 30 contractors. After getting sued and having to settle a case with one of them, I was looking for a lawyer to review my contracts and ensure that I had everything in place to protect my company from as much risk as possible. Specifically, I wanted to make sure that my personal assets were not at risk. Devin was great. He never took more than 24 hours to respond to a call, text or email. He guided me through what he was doing and, most importantly, he kept my costs down by telling me what was and what wasn't worth redoing. I own a small production company in Texas, mostly photo shoots and film sessions for larger clients. After two weeks of work for one of my clients, who didn't pay their $40k bill, I decided to contact Devin because a friend referred me to him and said he did business law. I needed three things. First, since I used LegalZoom.com to set up my business in 2010, I wanted him to make sure that all my paperwork was in order with the state and I also needed him to redraft my engagement agreements and release forms and try to get my client to pay their $40k bill! We met for coffee to chat before I signed anything. He didn't charge me for the consultation and he met me at my office so I didn't have to take extra time out of my day. He kept me in the loop through everything and got it all done in about 3 weeks. We didn't end up going to trial to get the bill paid, just filing got them to settle for a little less than what I was owed. That's $38k I won't have seem without a lawyer.
