Ilana is literally amazing. I had so many questions and didn’t know where to go or who to ask? If what I was trying to do was even in the realm of possibility and she was so kind and so easy to talk to and so incredibly understanding. She broke things down into legal terms for me so that way I could understand and still explain what my goal was in a legally formatted way. I would highly recommend her to anyone in the Austin area if you’re looking for a child custody attorney or lawyer. If you’re looking for somebody who is knowledgeable and passionate about their job and is one of the best top lawyers in Austin look no further, she has been amazing to work with and super responsive!

Ilana's knowledge and experience provided such a comfort to me as we worked on my son's custody case. I’ve had the experience of working with Ilana Tanner for over a year, while she worked as the Ad Litem for my family members. She’s smart, diligent, conscientious and does what’s needed for her clients. It’s never easy in custody cases as one party ends up not getting the time or custody they desire - hence you might see a negative review for any lawyer, as it’s a way of retaliating. Look for client reviews, not non clients affected by the case. Ask about their experience protecting children, ask other attorneys about their reputation, ask CASA and you’ll be extremely happy with what you hear and see with Ms Tanner.
