I rarely take the time to leave reviews but I felt an obligation to share my experience with Illanna and her team, in hopes to prevent the next person from making the same mistake I did. To start, she will review your case/situation with you then present the worst case scenarios as the likely outcome. All things that only she can work through. Please don’t be fooled like I was, this is a tactic to get clients to retain her. I urge you to please consult with other lawyers and come to your own conclusion before retaining her. Be sure to comb through your invoice! I can’t tell you how many times I found discrepancies. Stay on top of reviewing your bill and you shouldn’t have any major problems. Just shedding some light on a repeat issue I experienced, in hopes that the next person is correctly charged for the services provided to them. I could go on and on about my horrible experience with Ilana, main point being PLEASE DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE. I wish I’d have known the details I know now now when initialing searching for counsel. I hope sharing my experience will encourage the next person to do the research, and ask all the questions, to ensure you retain someone who is truly dedicated to supporting you and your position.

While I didn't have a contentious divorce, I sincerely appreciated the ease of discussing my priorities with Bill, Jamie and Emily and guidance through the process. I'm also thankful for smooth process in getting the proceedings wrapped up in an expedited manner.

I had little time to find a lawyer, and Ilana was recommended by another law firm who didn't do mediation. So glad I found her. In our initial meeting, it was obvious that she had experience with many lawyers in Austin. When all was finished, she took out her notes from our initial meeting that listed all the items I stated I had hoped to get, and she checked off each one. Her office staff is pleasant to deal with, as is Ilana herself. But she is definitely no pushover. Definitely recommend.
