Drew Gibbs at The Carlson Law Firm was by my side when I was seriously injured and at the hospital. He was easily available whenever I needed to ask about my case. The settlement from the opposing insurance company was at policy limit and very quick. He was able to negotiate my medical expenses from over $100,000 to less than 1% of that. His fees were very fair. I cannot be more pleased with his service & confidently recommend him. Thank you, Drew.

Above and beyond the call of duty! That is the best way to explain our experience with Watters International and specifically Christopher Watters.
We decided late last year to start searching for a downtown condo. Having lived in a downtown for the last year, we knew we wanted to stay in the area. Christopher wasted no time hunting down something that was specific to what we were looking for. He was with us every step of the way and stayed in constant communication with us during the buying process. I would recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a new home here in our lovely city!

My experience with the Carlson Law Firm exceeded my expectations as it progressed smoothly and in a timely manner. Mr. Burnett (my legal assistant) was extremely efficient and Mr. Gibbs negotiated my medical bills with unfailing perseverance, which ultimately benefitted my settlement.

In evaluating law firms to handle my mother's personal injury case, I found The Carlson Law Firm and Drew Gibbs to be the most sincere about my mother's well being. In working with Drew and his staff, I definitely made the right choice. Words that come to mind are: honest, integrity, sincerity, professionalism and thoroughness. I highly recommend Drew Gibbs and will call on him again if the need arises.

We had a horrible and infuriating experience when Chris Watters International was showing the house we rent. For months, our home was repeatedly violated by other realtors who (according to them) had confirmed an appointment with Chris Watters's office but which we had never been informed about.
One time I walked out of the shower to find surprised strangers in the hallway. Another morning they let themselves in while my housemates and I were still undressed and in our beds. Another time they walked around knocking on windows while my housemate was trying to nap. There was a very clear understanding that no one was allowed to visit without a confirmed appointment, and after these occasions our landlords would call his office and urge them to improve communication with us tenants. On each occasion, Chris Watters and his staff would deny accountability, saying it must be "rogue realtors" who were stopping by without an appointment.
These "rogue realtors" left their business cards, so we'd call them and invariably they'd say they had confirmed an appointment with his office days prior. They were no happier than we were, since surprised tenants make it harder for them to make a sale. In hopes of smoothing things over and for the sake of our landlords, we were as accommodating as possible to Chris Watters's office, confirming every request we could even on ten minutes notice, but the unscheduled visits didn't stop until he was no longer our realtor.
It's hard to be brief, because lots went wrong. They didn't manage to sell the house. On two prior occasions, I've had realtors show my rental without every experiencing a single issue, so I know it can be handled competently. His office would text message me about an appointment, then call 15 minutes later to demand our reply (we'd be at work, or on a flight, or similar - we'd explained this to them). Or I'd get off a plane and they'd have send 4 back to back texts asking for an appointment, and it would turn out they'd (evidently) just forgotten to tell us about one that was already at the house. They put my personal phone number on the listing without my permission, never responded to my repeated requests to fix that, and only took it off when I changed my outgoing voicemail message. They eventually agreed we could remove the lockbox so that it was no longer possible for other realtors to let themselves in, but they still showed up and tried. One time they admitted they just forgot to push send on a text appointment request, but then changed the story when my landlords inquired. Chris Watters International never apologized to us and never admitted they had done anything wrong, always citing someone else.
Bottom line: there's no reason relations with tenants should go so poorly with almost no improvement over months, and it's hard to believe these were all normal mistakes or someone else's fault. To me, Chris Watters International represents those characteristics that unfortunately give realtors a bad name: untrustworthiness, semi-competence, disrespect, laziness, and a lack of integrity. I would never trust my real estate needs with this kind of realty office. There must be better options in Austin.
Full disclosure: this all happened roughly one year ago. I wrote this review at the time, but didn't post it until now because I wanted to forget the entire thing.
