Very unprofessional group. After working with this law firm for over a year, they have dropped the ball numerous times. What was a fairly open and shut case, now has us waiting until October (at the recommendation of the firm) to appear in court again. When speaking with Mr. Evans personally, he was extremely unorganized and condescending. According to him, he had minimal notes on the case, leaving us to believe there's a larger disorganization at the firm level.

My case is still on going and since the lawyer that I originally hire through this firm no longer works there 21days before final trial Katy Spencer and James Evans file a motion to withdraw as counsel stating it was my request without my knowledge. When I questioned them regarding this filing I get a phone call back from Katy Spencer 2 days later saying that motion to withdraw was a communication error within their office but if I wanted them to represent me in final trial I would need to give them an additional $8000.00 retainer. Then when I questioned the sequence and ethics of their actions through email I was told that I was being hostile. Needless to say I will be filing a greivance with the Texas bar association.

After having had two different attorneys and not being able to get the representation needed my sister gave me the number for the Evans Law Group. I am so thankful she did. My son and I met with Mr. Evans and were very pleased. His staff was wonderful. He was able to look at the paperwork from over a year and offered advice to try to save me time and money but my son and I knew I needed someone to represent me. Mr. Evans took my case and everything was settled and I am now divorced. With I would have found him sooner. He also did my QDRO and a name change.
