My husband and I hired Cade Bernsen about 5 years ago to handle my husband’s PI case. He was walking across the street and was hit by a drunk driver (it was the driver’s 3rd DWI). Cade’s first concern was my husband’s recovery, and after my husband had his surgery and was released from the hospital, he continued to encourage physical therapy and to not worry about the outcome of the case. My husband was out of work for 1.5 months, but we were able to make do during that time. Cade called and texted regularly to let us know the case status, manage our expectations, and mostly importantly, check on my husband’s recovery. We were able to accept a settlement that was satisfactory to us, covering lost wages, incurred medical bills, and money for a future surgery. We were extremely pleased with the outcome, and also with Cade’s professionalism, compassion, and willingness to stand up to the insurance company and fight for us. We would use his services again without question.

I got side swiped and my car was totaled. I was partially unconscious when the medics arrived and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. I am so lucky to be alive. I got hit by a driver going about 100 mph, who I later found out had been involved in a shootout and was fleeing the scene. His car caught on fire and the impact trapped me inside. My whole body was battered and bruised, and when I got out of the car nobody seemed to know what was going on. Port Arthur police said they wouldn’t release the report for at least a week, and the other driver did not have insurance. Nobody was helping me, nobody was talking.
