I would not recommend this attorney to anyone. My daughter and I were in a car accident where the other party was 100% at fault. It was understood that all the medical bills accumulated would be paid. When settlement was recieved it was said by the attorney office that "yes" all medical bills were paid. I continued to recieve medical bills in the mail. I contacted the attorney and he just kept saying that all bills were paid and told me that I needed to call my medical insurance company to resolve the issue. After going back and forth with the attorney via email for several weeks he finally stated to me that he was not responsible for paying my copay medical bills and that was something I was responsible to do out of my own settlement. Our sellement was 2400.00 and the medical copay bills are 1400.00. That left 1000.00 for my daughter and I after weeks of therapy appointments and time off work due to medical appointments. Needless to say, we did not recieve the 33% of the settlement as the contract stated. Mr Sewell has poor communication skills and does not seem to care at all about his clients. It is very sad that he would take advantage of people this way. I have had several friends who have been in accidents and wanted to know if I knew of an attorney....I told them that I did not. I would never refer anyone to the Law Office of Efrem Sewell. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and Bar Association as well.
