They never seem to help anyone and a very slow process.

Went to them twice and that’s all it took did not get help I did read on someone’s post about race I’m Hispanic and I did not get any help they told me at first I was getting help then said that they can’t, second time they flat out just said no plus no one is there or answers I went to office because of that I don’t know why they hire such people who just really don’t care and pick and choose who they want to help that’s what it feels like so sad

No... they refused services to help my husband with custody because their cases were full, but didnt tell us they werent accepting new cases when he applied. Horrible, dont waste time waiting for them to say they cant help you.

Does anybody work here? I never get an answer when I call whether it be weekdays, weekends, daytime or night. The voicemail says speak slowly leaving your name and number and we’ll get back to you. I’m no longer waiting or expecting a call back. Such a shame. I’m discouraged to go there in person though I’m within 20 minutes if the service is anywhere close to the unreliability of there listed contact information.

While they say they offer legal aid to people unable to afford it, I haven’t seen them help yet. I have gone to them twice and got nothing. The last time, my Mom qualified for their services, but they couldn’t offer assistance because they didn’t have an attorney available to work her case. By the time we got their response of not having an attorney available, we were down to just 3 business days before my Mom’s answer was due to the court. Seems super-inefficient. Why take an application and make us get you all the information when, in the end, you determine that someone qualifies for your services but you don’t have an attorney to help???? You may as well put up a sign that says not taking applications until attorneys are available to help. I am sure they are helping someone, somewhere. It’s just a limited few.

And if u leave a message they never ever call u back ever!!!!!.they really need to fix the problem because some people like myself really do b needing help and has noone to turn to for help it's like whats the point of having legal aid please get it together asap

I'm so thoroughly grateful for the services and assistance I received from Lonestar Legal Aid. Yes, it can be hard to get in touch with them at times, but you have to remember, they serve Thousands of individuals with complex legal issues. The level of professionalism, compassion, and the speed of legal services was absolutely fantastic. Thank you guys for everything you do!
