My mother passed away in 2020. I live out of state and had no understanding of Texas probate law. Mr. Burton Baker was recommended to me by a friend who had recently needed probate attorney support and used Mr. Baker to assist them through the the Texas probate process. During my first consult with Mr. Baker, he laid out and explained the step by step process making it easy to understand and presented the fees required (which I felt were very reasonable) in order to enlist his services and expertise. I had a very comfortable and positive feeling about Mr. Baker and signed him on to manage my probate case. I returned to Cleburne, TX 6 weeks later to attend the probate hearing. We conducted the hearing via ZOOM from his office due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was very short and to the point. It was evident that Mr. Baker had been practicing law in the Cleburne and Johnson County area for quite some time, as he was very knowledgeable and familiar with the offices and personnel within the Johnson County law system. This allowed me to quickly obtain the documents that I needed to finally begin to manage my deceased Mother's estate affairs. From that point he was always available to take my calls to answer any questions that I had. He told me at the beginning of the first consult that I probably felt that on a difficulty level of 1 to 10 that I probably felt that it was a 10. He was absolutely right. I was over whelmed. He told me not to worry and that that 10 would be more like a 3. He was wrong, because with the service he provided for me it was more like a 1. Mr. Baker was money! It was money well spent during an extremely difficult time. I could not imagine having to try and navigate through the Texas probate processes without him. Without him, I would probably still be trying to mutter my way through it. He is highly experienced, knowledgeable and extremely friendly. A true Texas Gentleman! She is indebted to other attorneys & you will not get a fair trail at all. You can have all the proof of being set up & she will egnore everything... She will not explain or provide information needed & that goof of a court Cordanator Teresa Steed--- there is another whole story by starting with not filing your documents or providing you with required information.
