I used Doug’s office and it was a terrible experience for me. If you want to be treated as you are a client that matters and receive information regarding your case, not ignored constantly I would recommend someone else. As I am pleased with the end result of my case I am not happy with the way I was treated throughout the whole year of this case. I would call for information and would get the run around and never a call back. I accepted a plea offer and they went behind my back after I already paid in form of a money order and did not inform me they were going to try to get a different offer for me (which would have been fine) until 2 months of emails and phone calls before I got a response from them about what was going on in my case. Took 3 weeks just to receive a call back from the attorney, after calling constantly asking to speak with someone regarding my case after they issued me a warrant for failure to appear even though I was told not to appear. It was appealed to a higher court which took even longer…. Fast forward to court they aren’t even aware of the money order that I have taken to their office and given to Sylvia so they have to go hunt it down and again offer me another plea deal. This was more of a hassle than it truly should’ve been. They are so unorganized and truly do not care about their clients.

I will ever remain grateful to Mr. Douglas Atkinson and his team. Doug was very assuring even in my moments of despair. To be overwhelmed, was an understatement, with the charges of felony and another of misdemeanor in DWI. I was heartbroken. Within 6 months of accepting to representing me, the cases were over with very good outcomes. Doug is a phenomenal lawyer (lawyer among lawyers). I strongly and unequivocally recommend Mr. Douglas Atkinson to anyone that finds him or herself at the other side of the law.

If I could click more than 5 stars I would. 100% would recommend to anyone who needs a criminal lawyer. I would not go anywhere else. He works with you financially and isn’t money hungry like the other attorneys out there. Being a single mom going through a lot emotionally and financially, he was there every step of the way. He fought for me even when I had completely lost hope and had given up but I told him I didn’t know what else to do… he NEVER GAVE UP on my case. I cried when he called to tell me he got my case dismissed. He truly cares about his clients. He takes the time and effort and will go the extra mile for you. His team is the BEST
