When I hired Ortega, McGlashan, Hicks & Perez, I specifically asked for Judge Hicks because I had been told about his background. The first time we went to court, I was very impressed. Family Law case. Seemed knowledgeable but after making payments didn't keep me informed of dates and where we were at in the process. $2000 least they could do Is email me once a week or 2 what they have done.

I would like to thank Bill Hicks for handeling my case. My situation was not unusual at first or so I thought. The incident was a DUI and "fleeing the scene", which in my case was neither, but that is not how the "report" was written. I happened to make a "big" mistake and let my friend drive us home late one night. He was driving his wife's Nissan, unfortunately brand new. We hit a concrete barrier on a quiet highway, head on and totaled the vehicle. I was left "semi" conscience at the scene, but he was able to leave. I could not believe I was being arrested for DUI, Grand Theft and Evading arrest. I thought I am going to lose my job and become a convicted felon. How will I suppoort my family? Once I was released from the emergency room and jail, I realized that this one bad decision, will impact the rest of my life and started thinking how am I going to "clean" this up? I chose Bill Hicks due to his past of being an ADA and Judge and hearing good things. I walked into his office and felt in a short period of time, we were a team. I thought I will get through this and be able to regain my life! What I learned about the law and how it "really" works is something I will never forget! I was not guilty of these charges, but in due time I will be a free man! I felt that even though our relationship was business, Bill believed in me and that was a good feeling when going to court.
