Imagine you hire a painter to come paint your house...this painter charges you a retainer in advance. They come and paint your house; but it doing so, they leave holes in the wall, splatter paint all of your furniture, and cause serious damage to your home....leaving you in a much worse situation. To top it off, they refuse to refund your money. That's exactly what happened with this team on my case. I am and have been put in a horrible situation as a result of this team...and I am the one who brought on the suit. The original attorney did not put temporary orders into a formal order making them unenforceable. He failed to properly follow up with the courts causing me to miss MONTHS of time with my child. The firm let my original attorney go and I was assigned the owning partner - I thought "awesome, somebody that can get something done." I had to constantly send emails for updates and the only time I got a call back was when I threatened to leave. Paul didn't even know when the case was scheduled to dismiss due to no action - yet he and the staff just kept telling me that the county is always really slow. I have recorded all of my conversations, so I am able to back up what I am saying. I have talked with 2 attorneys (one of which was helping me with this case and also was involved in conversations with Paul) and they both said this was tragically mishandled by the Youngblood team. Further, I am the one that has had to follow up with the courts to find out what is causing delays - it was discovered that the pleadings most recently filed was not handled correctly by the court. That caused a 2 week delay. I shouldn't be having to call the courts.... You cant call or email your attorney directly. I didn’t receive timely messages in the portal – usually several days after the initial message – the feedback I did get back was brief and not helpful. I received contradicting facts from the firm regarding the updates – Paul told me that the paralegal was just not familiar with how the County operates and that somebody just needed to go to the court to get updates. Holly (the other owner) told me that was wrong, and they had just been notified by the court. I believe this was an attempt to mislead me and give them a reason to not have to return a portion of my money back. Even when they presented me with their motion to withdrawal, the motion was riddled with errors - improper names from another case, the wrong case number, wrong facts.... I will be moving forward with arbitration pleadings; I havent had a chance yet because my case is ongoing. I have since found out that they are being either sued and or arbitration being brought on by other previous clients. Please save your money. These lawyers will take your money and will not properly fight for you.....they might even leave you off worse like they did me.
