Al Rowland is a outstanding criminal defense and traffic ticket lawyer. Mr. Rowland is dedicated, highly skilled, capable of producing results when they count and is humble. For an attorney as effective as he truly is it is amazing to see how down to earth and humble Al is which distinguishes him from other lawyers in the North Texas area who are arrogant and egotistical. Mr. Rowland even prefers people refer to him simply as Al. Al offers outstanding legal representation for a fraction of the cost that other lawyers charge. I hired Al to represent me on two (2) speeding citations in Frisco that were looking rather tough to place me on deferred probation so the speeding tickets would not become recorded as convictions and potentially increase my auto insurance premiums or even cancel my auto insurance policy.
Sometime in early June of 2018, Al was capable of ensuring with the Frisco Municipal Court that I was placed on deferred probation for both speeding tickets upon the completion of a defensive driving course which I took online and paying the court costs. I thought that was a done issue. Well one (1) day after being placed on the deferred probation driving on a major street in Frisco, I was unfairly targeted by another corporal with the Frisco Police Department and was "paced" for about a quarter mile or so before once again being pulled over and stopped for another speeding citation.
The last and third citation had some unusual elements. First I was issued a paper citation and Frisco Police Department is known for using a digital device when issuing citations to citizens. The address of the "alleged" speeding was not consistent with where I was pulled over and the exact block number on the address did not even exist for that street. So having to go to court again I was unsure what Al could do for me, although I was actually prepared to go to trial and fight the traffic ticket and truthfully I did trust in the capability of Al being able to win in trial with my specific circumstances regarding the third speeding ticket issued.
To my surprise on the day Al appeared on my behalf in the Frisco Municipal Court Al or Mr. Rowland was able to again for a third time continue me on the deferred probation and have the third ticket run concurrent with the deferred probation and upon the completion of the time period of probation in December no speeding convictions will become reported thus not affecting my driving record adversely and potentially increasing my auto insurance rate. While I still believe I could have fought the speeding ticket in Frisco Municipal Court it would have cost me more time and some money, although I could have represented myself "Pro se" in court too. I still would have to pay a docket trial fee though for going to trial.
Al was able to save me money and time by placing me on deferred probation and avoiding adverse consequences such as auto insurance increasing and/or even being canceled for too many speeding tickets in a certain time frame. The amazing part is that Al was able to continue the deferred even with the third ticket. Usually as Al and I both know once you are placed on probation for speeding and you have additional speeding tickets normally the consequences of fines in the full amount follow and the probation is revoked and reported as a conviction. However, I am not average or general, rather unique and one-of-a kind truly, just like the third speeding ticket with a unique set of circumstances. Al Rowland offers outstanding legal representation for a fairly competitive price and generally less than what other lawyers charge for traffic tickets. Because I along with my family are connected to the legal society in Texas I do know a plethora of attorneys throughout Texas and I can tell you honestly Al Rowland is one of my favorite not just because of his skill level, although he is incredibly skilled, rather, because he is a genuine person, nice, polite, and easy to talk to. Al is originally from the southern state of Georgia, although we welcome him in North Texas without a doubt.

Mr. Harter was my attorney. My ex was pro se. Mr. Harter had over 38 yrs of experience. After 27 yrs of marriage & my ex filing for divorce, I walked away with ZERO.. Mr Kenneth Harter took it upon himself to Grant my ex 100 percent of our business which my ex and I both worked in and which supported our family. Mr Harter took it upon himself to Grant my ex all of the equipment from our business. I emailed my attorney (Mr Harter over 6 times regarding him granting my ex assets that we DID NOT AGREE ON. In one email, Mr Harter questioned; "what are you going to do with the tools, sale them? Use them? I doubt it"
(MY ATTORNEY) Mr. Harter took it upon himself to grant my ex all finances having to do with a rental home which my ex and I owned. He granted my ex all past present and future finances, regarding my ex and my business. I had a judgement for a certain amount in the temp hearing procedure, Mr Harter did not include this in a qdro. In December of 2016, he informed me that he would put a lien on property that belong to my ex. He finally did this in March of 2017 (So he says) I was granted a certain amount of my ex's 401(k) Defined Contribution Plan, to purchase a home for my son and I. Mr Harter submitted a WORD FOR WORD Plan sample qdro, as my actual order. When I questioned MY ATTORNEY, Mr Harter about him submitting a plan sample, MY ATTORNEY EMAILED me and stated that it is REQUIRED that he use the sample. I requested this same sample; It stated, "It is NOT required to use this sample" Mr Harter waited about 2 weeks for my ex to contact him regarding changes that he (ex) didn't agree with in the decree of divorce. During this entire time, I (HAVE EMAILS) literally begged him (Mr Harter) to help me (His Client) My ex had filed an appeal regarding the judgement, although he'd agreed. During that time, Mr Harter allowed my ex to ban me from property that my ex and I both own and where I stored a lot of my belongings. My ex emailed My Attorney, informing him that he wanted my belongings off of the property. Although Mr Harter knew that my ex had appealed, (Mr Harter knew that I didn't have a home) he did nothing to stop my ex from banning my belongings. Mr Harter Knew the desperate state which my son and I were in. Yet he treated the issues as if my ex was his client. Mr Harter Never sent me a copy of the divorce decree with judges' Signature. He never sent me the Document for my name change. My ex filed a document for stay of retirement. (For my portion of the retirement that I was awarded & even though my ex and I had agreed on this) My Attorney didn't tell me. When I checked my case online and asked my attorney to email me the document. He did not. I had to pay for a copy of the document via public information. Even when I questioned Mr Harter of what the document was regarding, he would not tell me. I have document to prove EVERYTHING and more, that I am sharing. When I informed Mr Harter that the qdro could be amended he resigned. My son and I are STILL HOMELESS. I am still living from my vehicle, from place to place. The sample qdro submitted by Mr Harter assigned that I not obtain my share until my ex is 60. Although federal law's ERISA and the code have provided laws permitting the spouse early payment of benefit FOR THE PROVISION OF MARITAL PROPERTY RIGHTS. Also federal law provides that an order qualifies even if it requires early payment of BENEFITS. I am not writing this to be spiteful. I just believe that people should know the integrity and the type of service that they are paying for. It's scary, hurtful and devestating going through a divorce, but to have an attorney who does not have your best interest in mind, makes it worse. Although the qdro sample cautioned and permitted revisions, amending, modifying, options and choices to meet the client's intents, My Harter used the sample regardless, changing nothing. In the end, I received nothing, not a penny.

Truly amazing defense lawyer. I was in a really bad situation and falsely accused of a crime and the police and defense attorney had it out for me. Got my case dismissed and handled very professionally by Al who quickly noticed errors in the reports and saved me big time. If you chose a different lawyer you are throwing away your money!

You know, I have been getting my butt handed to me in surcharges, Fees fines and tickets, one after the other. Each one suspended my license a year from the date of the ticket.
(I got a speeding ticket in Missouri, sent in the money for it but apparently you're supposed to show up for court to collect $200 back from them. I wouldn't drive there for $200 bucks, they could just keep it. Paid right. Nope, suspended my license down here in Dallas and that started a reoccurring loop of.....)
I've been doing this a long time , I figured it would cost a lot - be a pain to do the occupational -what if they didn't approve me and I mean all these things -how much is a lawyer...
I called Al and from the moment I talked to him and on - easiest affordable situation I have dealt with in a long time!!.
Really it's been a while since someone hasn't taken advantage of my disadvantages and actually follow through and succeed.
He may be reading this thinking no Big deal, but it is a big deal.
I sent him everything he asked me to send him even on my tickets and not long after I had a signed occupational drivers license.!!!!
Did not even have to go to court. I couldn't believe it - I feel like I owe him.
Thanks Al ,now I can legally speed on down the road. I'll call you if that status change.
I just told you the reason THIIS TIME that suspended my license and started this cycle. I am no Angel way better now than ever but if he took care of me he can take care you!

When I first met Ken, he told me everything I wanted to hear and insisted I had nothing to worry about with my case. I paid him a retainer and made the poor mistake of trusting him. After several attempts to gain paperwork I needed for the temporary orders hearing, he finally sent it to me at 4:00p the day prior. When we went into court the next morning, it was even more clear that he had not even reviewed my case.
After that hearing, I quickly found a new attorney and requested a refund on my retainer. My file, months later, still was never received nor have I ever received a refund and he will not return any calls or emails. He is an awful attorney and will not work hard on your behalf. Do yourself a favor and find someone who cares about your case!
