I was completely blindsided when CPS called me and told me that a report had been filed against me with respect to one of my three children. After some research, I called Dennis and determined very quickly that he was experienced and qualified. His office handled communications with the CPS investigator, and the CPS interviews were held at his office. Very pleased with the results, and the billing was fair and as agreed. An easy recommendation.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Called on Monday to set up a 30 min consult with Ben Raia for my husband's child custody case. Told them we would need to bring our 7 yr old daughter in, and asked if that was okay. The receptionist who took my information said he didn't think it would be an issue if she came in with us, but that he would let me know if there were any issues in the appt confirmation email. I received the email with no concerns listed for bringing her, so we did. When we arrived at our appt today (that we paid $175 in advance for) they only wanted to meet with my husband. We explained he has a short term memory problem and that I needed to be present for the meeting to help him. After the woman who checked us in gave us pushback on that, the lawyer still refused to let me in, until my husband met with him alone and said he needed my help. Lawyer finally agreed then wouldn't let my daughter come back. Leaving a review because I came here because of good reviews, and wanted to give people a head's up that if you have any disabilities, or may have to bring your kids to your FAMILY LAWYER that this office isn't the one for you.

If I had not come across Dennis Slate one night while doing research, my life with my two girls would have been extremely different. I'm more thankful than words can describe for his hard work, efforts, research and time spent to get my girls back with me where they belong. Dennis Slate is the best of the best.

Highly recommended for professionals. We made a custom agreement the first time (not recommended) which we started before speaking with the attorneys (also not recommended). It was a train wreck. I went with their recommendations to fix it after a few years. If you speak with them early in the process and really understand your options, you'll do better. Don't go with a cheap attorney or it'll show - these people are respected and you should be too.

Dennis is the man you want in your corner. As a veteran he felt like someone that I know could help me. I live 5 hours away from where my case was filed. So not knowing anyone needing help to maintain my rights as a father. Referred to me my by a lawyer near me. This man saved me in a dark time of worry. He was there for me through the beginning and the end. My case lasted a year and a half and the whole time him and his team were there for me. We won both cases during that time and maintained my rights as a father. This man is honest so when he tells you something buddy you believe it.

He kept me informed with everything going on in my case. He made me feel like I was a part of his own family with the amount of time that he took to pay attention to my situation. He is very knowledgeable with all that he does. He walked me through all the information so that I fully understood everything that was going on including when i needed to sign something. I have used Dennis Slate two times now. I would not give my trust or confidence to anyone else. I was fostering 2 kids for 3 years and was supposed to adopt them. Everything changed at the last minute and I was faced losing the kids that I had loved and raised. They were going to be put into a very bad situation. Dennis and his team spent countless hours preparing for my case. Dennis knows CPS like the back of his hand. He was knowledgeable and prepared the day of the trial.
