I have never needed a lawyer for anything before so I don't really have anything to compare this experience to. I had attempted to file for benefits on my own and was denied. This office accepted my case and I was assigned Jaime Almaguer and Anthony Vessel as my representation. Jaime took care of all of my paperwork and answered any questions I had throughout the process. When it got to the hearing during the appeals process the attorney, Anthony Vessel, did his best to put me at ease in an uncomfortable situation. He really didn't have to say much or represent my case at all as the judge decided right away to award me benefits based on the records provided by the attorney and staff. Nonetheless I was grateful for the representation in case it did not go so smoothly and all of the back work that went into making the entire process happen. Attempting to do this on my own was a tedious and daunting process, and frankly, it just seemed easier to give up. Everyone at Marc Whitehead & Associates took on that burden for me and I'm incredibly grateful for that!

With countless numbers of people losing so much as the insurance companies bottom lines grow into the billions.... My husband and I couldn't be happier with the commitment and expertise of Marc Whitehead and his staff. If you've been denied your disability, don't wait... call them. The insurance companies say you have to appeal yourself without representation, NOT TRUE. Call this office and find our for yourself. We wouldn't have won our administrative appeal if it wasn't for Marc's office. We are still appealing the WOP and am quite confident this firm was the right choice.

My wife used this firm and we live in Oklahoma. We should have known better, but at the time there were few attorneys in Oklahoma offering the "we don't get paid until you get paid" pitch. What can we say, we are by far disappointed in the quality of service and lack of professionalism displayed. Where to even start? No response from the "team" even by email, on several occasions I emailed AND called and still little to no information regarding my case. She finally received a court date for appeal, and you would think that I would hear from SOMEONE, ANYONE, NOPE. The day before my court date, I believe someone called to say someone from Oklahoma would be represent with her in court. She was finally awarded back disability benefits, but because on the advice of the attorney who showed up, we only filed for "closed period benefits" so she did not get full benefits. Her health had deteriorated yet again, and had the associate assigned to the case been in contact or responded to our questions via email, he would have known this. Instead now we have to file an appeal of the appeal and hope that she is awarded full benefits. When we contacted the office to discuss possible options the associate's response was "well if you want to file an appeal or start A WHOLE NEW CASE" and get another attorney...What the heck? So, there is no discussion about her current health and why she needs to file an appeal, no discussion of a game plan, nothing just simply implied that "we getting paid, after this you're on your own". To say the least WE definitely would NOT refer this firm to anyone needing assistance. I contacted a firm closer to us and the attorney basically said since we ALREADY HAVE counsel who is getting paid for this case, no other attorney will likely touch it. So now we are on our own to file the appeal and try to get disability since she is now permanently disabled based on the same condition that started the entire case in the first place. Thanks for NOTHING!

I contacted Marc's office after being denied LTD benefits from an insurance company and Social Security. He and his staff confidently organized my file and began the complicated appeal process. This was a big relief for me since I had no idea how to navigate my way through this.
Within 6 months the insurance company sent me a check for retroactive benefits and began making monthly payments per plan. I was delighted to finally be receiving the insurance payout that I was entitled to.
17 months into the insurance benefits, Melanie Donaldson called to advise that a buyout of my remaining benefits was being considered by the carrier. I subsequently reviewed this with Marc Whitehead and he recommended that we negotiate the number. He was successful in increasing the buyout to a value that I considered to be in line with my financial needs.
His firm successfully appealed my Social Security disability. They were in my corner the entire time and were very professional throughout our relationship.
Melanie Donaldson was great to work with and a big "thank you" goes out to her!

Marc Whitehead and Associates are GREAT!!!. I contacted Marc for social security disability and his associate Maria did a great job handling my case. The application I submitted by myself was lost, she did a great job getting my application and making sure that everything was in order. She stayed in contact with me and in no time at all I started receiving my disability. I would recommend Marc Whitehead and Associates to anyone needing help. When in the office talking about my disability claim I talked about my short term/long term disability from my employer. Marc Whitehead immediately called in another assistant Melanie, she took care of my short/long term claim and worked very hard on the case. Melanie stayed in constant contact and went over and beyond my expectations. During an extremely hard time in my life it was great to know that someone was fighting for me. My claim has been settled and I am extremely greatful for all the hard work from Marc Whitehead and his Associates. I definately recommend Marc Whitehead and Associates. They will do their very best to see that you get what is rightfully yours. I rate them 5 stars plus !!!!!

I have a few health issues that hinder me from working and when I contacted Marc Whitehead and Associates they were gracious, understanding, and so patient with me. Through the process I was denied twice but this team of Marc's did not give up they got me in front of a Judge with a "powerhouse" lawyer and we won! I even saw that judge wipe a tear from her eyes. When I received my approval letter it was like winning the lottery! I want you to know that if you feel like giving up, this team has your back and they will fight for you in every way! I believe in this law office and I would especially like to thank Theresa Foster who worked with me through the entire process and basically held my hand until the end. Theresa, I appreciate you more than you know. I thank you for you tenacity, your hard work work, your graciousness, and your patience. Thank you a million times!

I am very pleased with the work performed by the Whitehead group on the appeal of my LTD denial. It was successful. Melanie Donaldson was the epitome of southern charm and hospitality throughout the ordeal. It was certainly a welcome change from the arduous process and heartless souls in the insurance industry. Great job Melanie! The Whitehead ebook of LTD was great because it is 100% accurate. It is too bad its true ... the ERISA law REALLY needs to be rewritten to protect disabled individuals from the unscrupulous practices of the insurance companies.

I found Mr. Whitehead and Associates on the website, contacted them and things moved forward and the outcome was positive. My husband had a veteran disability claim for Agent Orange. Mr. Whitehead and his team worked deligently to ensure that that this claim would be heard, recognized and finally awarded. My husband passed away before the success of the claim, but his dying words was to keep fighting.
They firm was top-notch and very knowledgeable and knew what was needed and what was not needed. I could call Marilyn anytime for questions and answers. The group became like family to me. I could also cry, laugh and just talk with them. They understood!
In the end, my husband did not see the award, but he wanted to make sure that our family was taken care of and that the Office of Veteran Affairs did what was right; he gave up his life for this country and it was only fair that they do the right thing.
Kudos to March Whitehead & Associates, LLP. Thanks for all you do!

We cannot say enough good things regarding this firm. My husband, a 21 year veteran, had been denied his claim for Agent Orange exposure since 2007. After his 3rd appeal was denied in 2010, he requested a hearing in Washington, DC with the Board of Veterans Appeals. We were exhausted and extremely frustrated with how the government was (and is) treating Agent Orange claims. I went online and searched for an experienced VA appeal firm. I found Marc Whitehead & Associates. We wanted experience, and we sure got it. My initial call found Marilyn to be so very compassionate regarding the struggles with the VA and I sent her the 4 huge zip files of documents. She was traveling that weekend to visit her family and through her dedication and commitment, she took the documents on the plane with her!! She and the firm have been just first rate.....so very, very responsive and reassuring as we moved through the process. It was such a relief to have someone so competent pick up the baton. The attorney who we met in Washington, DC for the hearing could not have been more first-rate, personable, knowledgeable, calming and reassuring. The absolute best thing we did was to have this law firm take over the battle with the VA and represent my husband. He had his hearing in Oct 2014 and was granted service connection in early December 2014. We are so thrilled with Marc Whitehead & Associates. They have restored our faith in never giving up the fight. Let them do it for you! We will never be able to thank all them enough.

Anthony,
On behalf of myself and my husband, I’m finally able to take a breath, sit at my computer and write to you this letter of thanks!
There aren’t enough words to express my appreciation for your kindness and consideration to me during my disability intake, paperwork and appeal process.
Honestly, you and all of your staff made me feel important, believed in me and you all are the makings of a great team.
From the intake, I was met with compassion and when I called with any questions regarding: paperwork or how the process would next proceed,my questions were always answered with knowledge and consideration.
And nobody ever had to get back to me. I got my answers on the spot!
Anthony you are a truly warm, sympathetic human being who stood up for me.
With my health issues, I knew I had to reach out for help with all of this and I choose the “best of the best!”
Once again, I thank you all for your hard work in making my disability case successful! I actually cried tears of joy, surprise and resolve!
They say the “little things” mean a lot in life and that for me this was one of them!
And please if there’s anyone I have left out of this letter, please reach out to them on my behalf and thank them.
May all of you continue to be blessed each and every day.
Kindest Regards,
Debra Hermann
