Jeff Wheelock was a fantastic asset for purchasing my first franchise. He walked me through the FDD and FA in a thorough and straightforward manner. I feel prepared to enter into the agreement and fully grasp the risks, which would not have been the case without Jeff's help. I was able to negotiate and amend the Franchise Agreement to more favorable and less risky terms. The potential savings from the amended agreement should pay for Jeff's fees and more.

I met with Jeff Wheelock this week to review an FDD. He is extremely knowledgeable of the entire FDD process. I would advise that you meet with Jeff prior to your Discovery Day with your Franchise, that way you will have your questions/ideas prepared before your visit. Although, it might be true that your potential franchise might not change anything for you in their FDD, Jeff will educate you on how to approach them with an addendum on only the major areas worth amending. Remember, the FDD was written to protect the franchise, not necessarily your interest. Jeff will help you prepare to buy your franchise, run your franchise and be prepared to sell your asset some day in the future. Jeff is very personable, hard working, and very responsive. And just an extra, he is a child advocate!! Anyone who helps be a voice the voiceless, is a star in my book!!

Jeff took me through my franchise agreement line by line making sure i understood every detail i was signing. He focused on two main categories - am i protected if things go really well and am i protected is if things do not go well. I had no idea how exposed i was in the downside scenario until he walked me through a few example situations. I also did not understand the exposure i was taking on the upside scenario. When i read the agreement i read the part about territory completely wrong and because of his accurate assessment of territory i chose to not pursue this franchise. He created a simple to read addendum that i was able to send on to the franchise owners and gave me great tips on negotiating terms. When i find another franchise i intend to pursue i will definitely contact Jeff again to review any agreements before i sign.
